I tend to agree with you. She seems to be a bit too perfect. She's smart & easy on the eyes, but I've never heard her speak off script and your experience adds to my distrust of her. I wish that Trump would pick someone like Ken Paxton, the current AG of Texas. Someone that he could assign an attack dog role to knowing that they'd get the job done and aren't interested in being president themselves.
I worked for the SD government for five years. She was elected 2 years before I left and never liked her. Billy Sutton is a good man and was a good candidate. When she started tossing shit at the walls, I lost faith in her. Also, she built a gate around her mansion in a city that has no crime. Wasteful use of money. Not to mention too polished and disconnected from reality.
She caved pretty quickly on the men in women's sports issue when Amazon threatend her about their big operation there and got pressure from Corporate Sports and she vetoed the legislation that was passed by the legislature because of some manufactured issue she used as an excuse. She eventually signed it, if memory serves. She also doesn't have her personal life in order. I was a big early fan of hers, but I don't trust her at all now! Trump will have to chose carefully. Anyone in office has a very high probability of being a Fifth Column or future turncoat.
She should be the Governor of Arizona and be reinstalled immediately if the Military takes over, more publicly.
That was her promise to the people of Arizona, and everyone knows she won that election.
She shouldn't even run for Senator.
I know rural life in South Dakota and ranch
people and riding your horses in open spaces and honestly you can take a person away from that life but you can't get that life out of a person. Hence I can't believe life in D.C. could be anything but pure hell for her and her family. I don't wish it on her.
Unlike previous administrations Trump's next 4 years will have putting to death the Deep State as a 1st priority. His VP will have a larger part in that then has ever been before. He will need someone with prosecutorial and investigative backgrounds. Someone like a John Ratcliffe or Matt Whitaker. Basically someone who you would also consider for Attorney General. Trump's ready to go total offence once he has retaken the oath. He basically needs a hungry, junkyard dog for his Vice President.
If you want success within the Republican Party and presidential success, Kari Lake is the choice. She has the temperament to help take down the corrupt thieves. She has lived it and can defend the masses against the corruption.
Over-riding requirement is someone who Mr Trump will trust enough to listen to. He found that he trusted the wrong people in his first term. He needs to have a strong and respected team around him - not media deem respected, but people who he respects.
That said, Noem is a lower ranked choice for me but might be high if legitimately restricted to women - my rank order without regard to quotas:
Dr Carson
Sanders
Cameron (Ky AG)
Robinson (NC - but I hope he stays in NC and wins Gov)

I don’t trust her anymore than Vivek or Desantis. She is also cozy with Lewandowski who Trump fired. My gut meter says no, or at least not yet.
If Trump selects Noem this is going to be a major, major mistake.
Select Kari Lake, so that we can have two folks who were robbed. And she's from a Swing State.
Or select Ben Carson, so you can have a super-capable, totally legitimate administrator dude who is going to lay waste to the thieves.
Or perhaps select Larry if you think he can get you California, but I don't think that will work.
I thought I read somewhere that she had Koch bros. backing.....which would be a non-starter for me.
A hard NO on any female VP candidate.
Agree! No females!
Not even Ms. Lake?

No thank you! We need someone can be trusted.

No. Aren't there any men anymore?

JF'nK Jr:?? 8*)
I thought VP candidates were chosen from states that could help you win? North Dakota isn't big enough to accomplish that.
Trump Noem 2024
NPR article
I'm not sure how I feel about her. For the same reasons you stated.
Dr. Carson.
Calm and reasonable against 45’s “brashness.”
Black, cuz that matters to identity politics and black voters.
Proxy little to no skeletons.
Smart.
Not a career politician.
Christian world view.
Physician, which matters to sheeple.
Everyone is a mixed bag….Tucker? Well, look at his earlier friends and family….there isn’t anyone that would not have a red flag.

She is a great Governor. I don't think she really MAGAS the way we need
She does cocaine
She has a good PR machine.

Byron Daniel (Might still be a bit early for him)
Then a pond with lots of fish:
Stefanik, Noem, Ernst, Salazar (FLA), MTG,
She looks like a hot android.
