Whoever planned this is very intelligent. TX is one of the handful of states that has a constitution allowing the state to secede from the union. I heard there might be others in the East coast but since I am in the Midwest, I know TX is the one and only.
That's a bit of a myth actually. We're only allowed to split up into as many as 5 states but not to secede. However, there is a grassroots effort to put the question of secession on the ballot.
Lincoln showed the world what happens when states try to secede from the US. The unfortunate truth is that Lincoln invaded a sovereign country because the south had formerly seceded including electing a president. These are troubled times. I'm an American, but I'm a Texan first.
As I understand this topic, the individual states are only required Constitutionally to be a part of the US as long as each of the two parties provided a Republic form of government. In the case of any state, therefore, if the Federal Government ceases to provide a Republic form of government, then the individual states can secede from the Union. I would fair to say that a Banana Republic (and I am not trying to be funny here...we are a textbook definition of a Banana Republic) does not fit the bill for a Constitutional Republic...the only thing these two have in common is the word.
Wikipedia: "A banana republic is a country with an economy of state capitalism, whereby the country is operated as a private commercial enterprise for the exclusive profit of the ruling class."
Yeah I know we've already answered that question. But the problem is that power comes from the barrel of a gun. So the question now is who has more barrels to point at the other? If it goes kinetic, do we have enough guns to win the do we have enough firepower to beat this parasitic federal government?
Spell checker strikes again. Thank you fren. I corrected it to spare me further embarrassment. I gotta learn to not just trust that spell checker knows what I mean.
I think Arkansas is sending their NG troops to help Texas. I want to see every red state send NG to Texas!
Yes. Sarah said so and also now, I heard VA saying that.
To rework Andrew Jackson's quote. "John Roberts has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"
Amen.
I'd like to see Johnny boy out there at the border.
MILITARY: It's the only way.
Yes. I believe so.
Indeed it had to be this way.

I think the states are now standing up to the federal government.

I pray we stop all of this.
It's "secede" and "secession," but yeah.
The South didn’t succeed with its secession…

Glad you took it in the spirit of fun. I was just making a wisecrack…

It looks to me like Texas is the ONLY state with any balls! I hope their National Guard has 2 million members. Go Texas🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
TX, I understand, has written it in their constitution that they can secede. They are the power house because of oil, manufacturing and businesses.
Our guns are bigger than your guns.
