They're not even trying to hide it anymore. Soon they'll want to ban the lock on our front doors.
Nah, breaking down doors and killing dogs are the fun parts of the job
I’ve had a Berkey for six years now. Definitely has increased our quality of life.
You’re starting to sound like a terrorist.
“Karen Weaver, is that you?”
Lon Horiuchi is that you?
Lol nice. My pun finger is itchy now. Time to make memes!
Must ban now. Makes sense.
Can I ask how you believe it has helped? Been thinking about how else I can maximize my health efforts since quitting all alcohol and drugs (caffeine included) at the start of this new year.
So, the two places we live have awful water. Our dog won’t even drink it. It’s sad because when I was a kid, we drank water from the hose—good clean water. But as the years have passed, water has gotten progressively worse. Anyway, we bought a Berkey and enjoy the kind of water we remember. We have both their regular filter and their fluoride filter. We don’t buy bottled water. We’re convinced if the shit hits the fan we can filter just about any kind of water through it except sea water. We use it for coffee, cooking, etc. We’ve already paid for it by not buying bottled. You couldn’t pay me to drink the water in Florida or NY. If this makes me a Karen, I could give two craps. It’s part of our prepping.
It doesn’t filter sea water??
I thought it’s filter ditch water. Seems like sea water would be much easier.
Depopulation.
I have a well. And in the south we don't have any Taps, we use Spigots. I drank more out of the end of a hose growing up than anywhere.
Nothing can take the place of good genes.
Be careful drinking warm hose water from a tank, can harbour brain eating amoeba, several kids have died from it
WTF???
The government has nothing better to do. If they are banning Berkey, you know they are good!
I’ve watched a few videos on the subject and I’ve come to this conclusion myself, there might actually be a reason for them trying to ban them but I’m not sure if that will end up being what they ban. There’s been reports of aluminum in some filters leaking into the water so I hope they just go for those specific ones and not all Berkey filters. If they have something that caused problems, ban that, don’t go for the whole line unless there’s a larger contamination problem in all the tanks or filters
FDA is disgraceful in general. Whenever I hear the phrase "FDA APPROVED" I assume said product offers no benefit at all or at best makes you sick.
Jones has a filter?
My brother got one. I got. Berkey.
I find this hard to believe. His has rusted and you can feel the difference.
My berkey is wayyy heavier and no rust
I been using it for a long time now it seems, I am not sure how often I should be changing out filters but it seems to be working still - like 8-9 years later LOL
I love my Alexapure!!
They banned Berkey filters and Berkey water usa has already ceased operations.
Think I'll buy one this week. Give them.some money to fight this.
So where do I buy one?
We bought ours several months ago when our water was threatened by the salt water intrusion from the Gulf of Mexico. Buy one now folks, if you can.
I love my big berkey , have had this for several years already - appalled that the government is shutting them down. Stock up on the filters when and where you can. Increasingly difficult to find .
I’m fine with chlorine. Anyone know why I shouldn’t be aside from “it’s a chemical”? (everything is a chemical after all)
If you are able, get your Berkeys now.
Berkey doesn't filter nearly what it claims. Just so yall know
How do these compare to the “Zero Water” brand? That’s what I’ve been using.
Question for Berkey owners: What's the difference between Berkey-filtered water and distilled water?
