I'm old enough to remember 5 cent candy bars and I agree with this.

really? because the founders of said country definitely warned us of exactly this

I damn well do remember five-cent candy bars, and they were not only cheaper, they were about twice as big.
With better ingredients too!
Remember when 3 musketeers were 3 individual bars? One vanilla, one strawberry, one chocolate nougat.
Wut? I clearly was born too late!
I remember when a only one pack of Milk Duds could pull all the teeth out of my mouth. I think I lost two teeth in the theatre watching 'Airport'.
I love milk duds too 🙈
I remember they doubled Hershey bars to a dime and reduced the size by half (or so it seemed to me). I posited they’d eventually charge a quarter not to have any chocolate in the wrapper.
How was the flavor compared to nowadays?
I had a weight problem back then also, 😃
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. For the traitor appears not a traitor – He speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation – he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city – he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.” - Taylor Caldwell, A Pillar of Iron.
I remember starting our day with a prayer and then The Pledge of Allegiance.
I remember penny candy. After school with $.25, I could buy a soft drink and a bag of chips. $1 bought a movie ticket with money left over for a drink and popcorn or a candy bar.
Oh, yeah, I remember penny candy.
Oxymoron perpetrated by a bunch of elected implants…🤔
If you hop the border, they give you a free candy bar.
We have a ranch market nearby, every once in a while, though I have bulk items really discounted.
I was able to get a baby Ruth for $.10. I bought three of them. I’m trying to cut down on my carbs, but I should’ve bought more. I just know it.
The telling thing about the five cent candy bars is that they were .05 from about 1925-69ish.
It's clear we have been infiltrated into our deepest corridors of State/Local and Federal Government' ,by whom i believe are by many different entities of wants, whims, desires, greed, power, evils, all at the same time from all directions. America has been up for sale since her birth, and were witnessing her fall right before our very eyes,I believe it's too late to save her ,the infected rot is to deep and throughout her entire body. I see millions of chinese parachutes in my dreams, and i don't even know if Trump can save her at this point. In the famous words of Doc Holliday,he said,'IT WAS MORE THAN HE COULD BAER'. On a lighter note, when i was in elementary school my job was to push the milk and ice cream cart into each class room and sell to all the kids ,white milk ,chocolate milk, ice cream cups with wooden spoons, ice cream sandwiches silver and gold, push ups, fudge cycles, cream cycles, all for a nickel, and later in the day i pushed around a baby grand piano with a box of morocco's and tambourines on top into each classroom.those were the days.
when? I didn't know how to search just for a picture.......
As a kid an extra half-dollar bought a bag full of candy!
They don't believe it's your country. It's theirs. You and your ilk are just in their way....
I remember in NYC a slice of pizza and a soda for 25 cents. Crap am I old or what?
