I haven't seen anyone else mentioning this. Did you notice how Tucker Carlson's eyes were randomly flashing emotions of alarm, confrontation, gotcha etc? And I mean random.
Seriously, if a person was conversing with me in a friendly manner, and after completing a statement his eyes suddenly went wide in alarm, his eyebrows shot upwards, and his face took on a very adversarial look (all in response to his own statement, not mine) I'd wonder if he had full control of his own face.
Watch Tucker's eyes and tell me if his expressions seem appropriate for the moment.
Tucker is an entertainment journalist--which expressively is the opposite of a Russian spy.
He was also receiving the translation after we would hear it, which would contribute to some of the apparent mis-timinga of his reactions.
The translation is moved up post production so we can hear it more naturally.
☝️☝️☝️THIS
His eye expressions seemed natural to me, and in keeping with his thinking and listening hard during the whole encounter.
He definitely listens intently.
That is his real laugh and I love it! It is so refreshing in this phony world.
I like it too.
Well he is interviewing a kgb spy/world leader on Russian turf. He may have been uneasy, I know I would be.
I'll bet Tucker liked to have crapped his pants when Putin called him out on wanting to join the CIA. Tucker DID NOT deny it either! KEK (Putin all but said the "journalist" they had in prison was a CIA asset when he told him he was caught receiving classified material!) I wonder how many foreign journalist ARE CIA agents?
We also don't know the room set up and who Putin had in the room behind him. Of course they were not alone in the room. And maybe Tucker heard a little more than we could and not everything translated. Maybe Tucker could see those expressions from those behind Putin that we couldn't see?
I know how he has animated facial expressions but some of those were out of line regarding context. So I figured ques were going on in the room aside from the interview
That is one of the key reasons why I can't "watch" Tucker. I can listen to him but it is downright painful to watch him with all his weird facial expressions that seem inappropriate in that moment.
He always has this idiotic/ frowning open mouthed look on his face I’m sure Vlad was unimpressed…
@Bluridgegirl, I noticed that too…I Love Tucker, but you have nailed the exact description of his facial expression during almost the entire interview. Almost like he was aghast at everything Putin was saying.
And his ridiculous laugh lol. He’s always been that way. OG must not watch him that often.
I really enjoy his laugh. It's so genuine and not what an actor would pick.
I agree.
All i saw was concentration
It's called being nervous.
It was not a friendly conversation. He was interviewing a world leader where things can go sideways for him quickly.
IMO The video was obviously edited to cut out a lot of the waiting for translations. The shots behind Putin's head didn't necessarily match the audio.
Absolutely agree. I found him to be hostile, disrespectful, and discourteously impatient when he wasn't hearing the answer he wanted to hear. Unfortunately, IMHO, too many hunger for a CIA trained MSM propagandist to be on their side, so they choose to overlook the obvious or purposely misread the cues.
He would go from "dog confused at his reflection in the mirror" to a look in his eye that he was about to punch you in the face. Random eyebrows up and bulging eyes. Just weird.
I was noticing how he was zeroing in on Putin, never looking away. I was wondering how I would feel in that situation. Puting was glancing away at times, but Tucker was like a laser.
Worth mention this was dubbed, and I'm sure Tucker had yet a different person translating in his ear. So what is being said in the interview is not going to match up time-wise with his expressions.
