I disagree with the "no interest" and "unlimited life", at a minimum. Lending money isn't free for anyone, so why shouldn't countries have the same type of terms?

Of course, banks and the like offer no interest if paid in X amount of time that you agree to when making a purchase -- so the goal isn't always to directly make money from every purchase using credit.
But when you fail to make payments on time, the price goes up and they end up making money off of you. They are able to enforce this because of government, police, etc.
How do we peaceably lend -- at any interest rate -- without essentially footing the bill for them? We wouldn't be able to wage war for those ends or forcibly take equivalent value from them.
Obviously lending has to be done sensibly, in considerably small numbers, and if payment is missed then said country should go into bad standing and if another payment is missed, then they are blacklisted for X amount of years from any lending including aid for national disasters -- or alternatively, blacklisted until their debt is paid off with interest.
I can see the whining now when the politicians money embezzlement is brought to a halt. MSM will come up with some wacky excuse to explain it away or just scream Trump’s fault.
I am confused why we have to give Isreal any money. They are a country. They have a military. They have their own taxpayers. They were attacked. Fight back and fund it yourself. Why do I have to pay for their war?
As in debt as we are now? No loans either. If they need money, they sell us something, and before that let's take a look at the last time any other country helped us out lately and if they haven't, screw 'em.

This is 100% correct! What makes the way we have been doing it really stupid, is the fact that we borrow the money from China, with their expectation that we pay it back, and then we give it out as foreign aid to countries with no hope of ever getting it back from them! This is ridiculous!

I don't anymore. I would not mind a short dynasty for stability, as long as we the people have the power to put an end to it when we so choose.
It's not a dynasty if we elect him. It's Continuity of good government. People need to get over it.
