There was a story over in Europe where some parking garages were being destroyed due to the increase of EV's. Those things were never constructed to hold the level of weight that is being introduced. Roads are being damaged faster with these clown cars as well.

Newer cars with crumple zones are much safer than the lead sleds of old. I'm not defending EVs in any way way, it may be the case the weight exceeds the safety of crumple zones.
Roads are designed for semi trucks, cars are not part of the planning process. IE the road base; not traffic. If it can transport a big rig with all its weight, cars hardly make a difference.
But for parking structures the EV weight could be a big deal. A lot of parking structure can pancake down with age/weight like the apartment build in Florida that collapsed a few years ago.
I've been saying it for years: Until there's something better than batteries under the hood producing power, EVs will remain suitable only for an urban niche market.

I think it will start small with parking garages putting up signs, "NO EV'S ALLOWED", and parking lots having designated EV parking areas further away due to safety concerns and weight issues. You will also start seeing signs like they have for trucks, "NO Trucks or EVS allowed" on this road.
My niece got rid of her EV Mustang-big fear of fire in garage spreading; displeasure at electric bills that skyrocketed.
I have a nighbor who owns a Tesla and parks it on the common parking with no charging stations (older condo development)-several times I have seen techs working on his Tesla.. Pity the fool that gains a Tesla and loses his shirt...
It's to make transportation out of reach for americans. Ban gas cars but make it very difficult to obtain juice to run electric cars.
