I took my one year old grandson in (helping out my daughter) for a checkup on his RSV that’s he’s had for 2 weeks, as he had fluid in his lungs last week. (He’s doing great now BTW). The doctor questioned where he could have possibly picked it up. We ran through some possibilities and eventually started talking about covid. He (the doctor) and his wife both just got over their 5th bout of covid.. this one being the worst. He couldn’t eat for 5 days and needed steroids for his cough. Then he tells me “to top it all off I’ve had 3 covid shots!”. Then I say (as a very non confrontational type, but totally dumbfounded by his ignorance)… “well, I think you need to stop taking those shots, doc. They’re obviously not doing you any good.” He says, “I did turn down the fourth”.
My question is, how can someone so brilliant enough to become a doctor be so stupid? Sadly, I predict he’ll be dead in 5 years. Crazy.
Doctors aren't necessarily brilliant. And remember, 50% of them graduate in the bottom 1/2 of their class. Some are just good at memorization and / or test taking, but not necessarily thoughtful.
Confessing to be wise they became fools -Romans 1:22
That's right.
Know what they call the guy who graduates at the very bottom, last in his class at medical school?
"Doctor."
And some are just the right race or sex.
As long as they can write script, I mean prescription
They don't do that any more. My previous doctor's nurse wrote all the paper prescriptions. Today, the nurses type the computer orders for medicine. My last one was done incorrectly, so I had to call in and find out what they really intended.
I've known a number of Drs that I would call ANYTHING but brilliant, fired a few that were involved in my wifes care. College doesn't really require an ability to learn these days, just an ability to memorize shit (based on my own experience as a college instructor..), and folks with a shortage in learning ability, tend to compensate with memorization (usually just long enough for assignment/testing).
100%
don't confuse intelligence with the ability to forsake 8 years of earning potential and going into debt instead.
while constantly being brainwashed that "vaccines are the greatest invention of all time"
My daughters OB-GYN pushed the vax HARD. I pushed back on my daughters behalf and she got through the pregnancy without it (thank God!) Good to know there are some good ones out there.
There are a lot of people that are educated beyond their intelligence. A lot of those people are doctors. I have several friends that are doctors and also a daughter-in-law. Thankfully most of those have some common sense. My d-i-l is an OB-GYN. When the vaccines came out she started doing her research and then she told her pregnant patients that if they wanted to take the jab they would have to find another doctor.
Most challenging IQ test in my life time. Happy I passed without any hesitation.
Yes. Has anyone ever tested whether the degree of one's instinct for self-preservation corresponds to I.Q. The libtard lack of that instinct which even extends to failure in protecting their own children is quite obvious. Makes me think that lifetimes of flouride exposure could be responsible for dulling of instincts as well as cognition.
I never got that exposure, as I was raised on well water in the country. I have a good IQ and wouldn't touch a shot. I never wore a mask or stayed home either. I'm too old to care what they think. A couple of businesses wouldn't let me in, in spite of my doctor exemption. So I added them to the shit list of places I'll never ever set foot in again.
Same.
No Civilized Government would ever turn so nasty on their own Citizens unless it was a replanned corrupted Agenda. Every Nation could have built massive tented hospitals and moved all the at risk people into them. Created huge new employment opportunities and then after the COVID scare was over. These massive hospitals could have been turned into Seniors residences for the aging Boomer population. Instead shut it all down destroy all the small businesses but keep open the large Corporation owned. Then flood the Nations with 3rd Worlders while everyone is locked down.
Doctors are not brilliant. They're intelligent - a measure of memory, recitation, problem solving and attention span.
They are not wise - a measure of independent thinking, critical analysis, and logical deduction.
I give the title zero respect. I've met plenty of doctors who are less intelligent than guys I've known in construction. Common sense cannot be taught.
Most doctors nowadays aren’t that smart just persistent (I work in a hospital so I see and hear it all the time from doctors themselves and med students). They are just taught to memorize and regurgitate whatever they are taught and are often times too busy or lazy to do research themselves so they put blind trust in their superiors. Most do not have critical thinking abilities unfortunately. Not to mention they are also afraid to think differently than their colleagues. Not sure if this is because of fear of retaliation from medical board or just wanting to be accepted by their colleagues.

My wake up call was when the public health nurse who wanted to jab me talked about how she hated white men.
Never personally had any problems with the medical field until around 2019 when I met that malevolent gorgon.
They have the raw intelligence to succeed at mind-boggling biological chemistry lessons but they have no wisdom.
I haven't watched it but it might have the answers you seek: https://www.cultofthemedics.com/
Or else consider a PhD in Marxist economics. Probably takes years of hard study, not easy, but in the end the info you learn is garbage and useless.
Same with our current medical system. You don't learn how to fix, just regurgitate propaganda for big pharma, which is intended to keep you on as a client.
Book smarts and common sense are not necessarily synonymous.
The real question is - Did you tell your daughter to get a different Pediatrician?
Luckily, I have some good oncologists. The radiation oncologist is almost as old as I am and confesses to being "old school." The other oncologist is younger, but she was smart enough to move from the big city to my town where she's the only one of her kind and can make a ton of money. Immunotherapy has worked wonders for me.
Many doctors become ''doctors'' not because they want to help other people but because they want to make a lot of money by making people sicker.
Many of them ally with big pharma to keep sick people so they continue buying medicines and more medicines.
They teach the smart right out of them.
