VIDEO: THERE WAS NO GAS FEED INTO THE HOUSE - THIS LOOKS LIKE WAY MORE THAN JUST A HOUSE EXPLOSION SOMETHING STRANGE IS GOING ON...
A Virginia firefighter is dead, and eleven others are injured after a home explosion obliterated a residence on Friday evening.
I've got a heat pump, but I also have a (propane) gas water heater and fireplace...
Came here to say the same.
Firstly, real estate listings are notoriously inaccurate, even in the slim chance they're based on the county records, which aren't exactly paragons of accuracy either.
Secondly, there are all sorts of different gas appliances besides the HVAC system. Water heaters, dryers, ranges, gas fireplaces, pool heaters, outdoor bbq - any or all of them could run on a natural gas feed and still have a heat pump.
^^^ THIS ^^^
Same here.
all these replies trying to ruin a perfectly good conspiracy theory. (was my first thought reading the article, brother has gas stove and electric heat)
Same, propane stove and fireplace. Everything else electric.
Yes, we have all electric except for the gas stove.
Something stank is going on in Virginia!
Wonder which Clinton enemy this was?
“Gas Leak” = the gov Cutting ties...
Muslim center right down the street. Flight path out of Dulles Airport. 15 min drive. Before the open borders policy, Sterling was full to the brim of gang members and immigrants.
White supremacy? Blogging against HRC? Blogging against Vacs? Protested abortion clinic? Had a MAGA Flag in yard? Catholics? School Board protestor? Protested Child Sex change chemicals? Opposed open Borders? Opposed funding Ukraine War? The punishment fits the crimes? Sarcasm.
Just because they didn't heat with it doesn't mean they didn't cook with it. My primary heat is wood (I do have propane backup), but I'll never be without a gas cooktop since I do a lot of pressure-canning -not safe with electric.
Duh.
I live in the frozen Midwest where a useless electric heat pump would cause my family to die from hypothermia, so when I i bought the house I removed it and the useless electric stove and reinstalled a gas furnace and stove. Just hooked them up to the old capped gas lines
Who was the homeowner scheduled to testify against at the House Committee Against Pedophilia?
Good dig. It didn’t look like a gas leak explosion to me. I am guessing a large terrorist bomb went off prematurely.
Not going to say that this was not an assassination attempt on someone but I do have to say one thing. My home is also classified as having heat pump and electric as the heating source according to the county records. In Virginia you do not have to register when you install an alternate heating source. I have gas as an alternative, my parents have a wood stove and gas in their home and the county records show electric heat pump as well. So I cannot just go by what the county records state. Depends on who lives there and what they know.
My guess -- this is related to the revelations about intel's campaign against Trump.
This was not gas. This was explosives. Over charged at that.
There have been numerous cases of houses burning down or blowing up from gas leaks when THE HOUSES WERE NOT SERVED BY GAS AT ALL. Even without a propane tank present etc. In those cases there were underground gas leaks (severed pipes) blocks or hundreds of yards away. The gas traveled along the gravel sewer pipes were buried in and found its way into and around the house foundations. Made for big explosions and fires.
Wasn't there another house explosion in Virginia just a few months ago? Someone allegedly shooting off a flare gun or something like that?
“Absorption Heat Pumps Absorption heat pumps, also called gas-fired heat pumps, use heat or thermal energy as their energy source.
They are different from compression heat pumps that are driven by mechanical energy and can be driven with a wide variety of heat sources such as combustion of natural gas, steam solar-heated water, air or geothermal-heated water.
Absorption heat pumps are more complex and require larger units compared to compression heat pumps. The lower electricity demand of such heat pumps is related to the liquid pumping only.” I also read that this type of heat pump uses and ammonia-water mix in some way
Arlington Heights come to RL???? 😯
Looks like some of the "California fire" homes.
Definitions matter. They will always tell the truth and allow logic to take people down the path they want.
Gas to us means natural gas, but gas has many meaning. One notable is GASlighting starts with gas.
So one of the interesting definitions of gas is.
INFORMAL talk, especially excessively, idly, or boastfully. "I thought you'd never stop gassing"
—understand maybe the person in the home was the leaking gas. The gas leak was the occupant of the home and this occupant was the reason THEY had to blow up the home.
Deception at its root.
If a person signs a disclosure agreement that states they are liable to what happens to themselves if they leak information to the public about the doings of the business. What happens is when they leak (gas) to the public they get what they signed for.
In the old days in gangs it was simple terminology “blood in, blood out” - in the new world we are in they are all grown up and these people have real power now. We allowed them to have authority, but their roots are the same. They legally tell us the truth so when they are in court they are not committing perjury.
They are very trained and have much to lose in these things they have started.
We are innocent until proven guilty and they use this against us and yet they also have the authority to use tactics that make us guilty because they say so. We are inverted still. Hopefully it gets overturned and many claim it will. The cost to against evil in power is ridiculously expensive and requires many martyrs to return power back to the people.
Too bad it wasn’t Biden’s vacation home.
Yeah, was gonna say maybe a gas fireplace or even a gas line for the stove
This is the second house in VA that has spontaneously combusted recently lol.
In my home town, a gas main of long standing had a leak and blew up. Heard for miles away. Pretty serious event, even though no homes were directly involved. The buried main blew a crater.
There is no such thing as a "run of the mill" gas explosion (really a conflagration, not a detonation). As others here have mentioned, the available information does not exclude gas supply to the house in question, particularly if it lies athwart a supply line. One of my neighbors has a liquid propane supply tank next to their foundation wall, probably the size of a small car. No gas hook-up, just a reservoir supply. Propane leaking from a tank of liquid will be quite cold and will "pool" in any depressions or low spots. A situation notorious for serious explosions.
No point in cooking up elaborate speculations for a terrible mishap. You know your mind is in a bad place when your first reaction is "It must be a conspiracy," instead of the attitude "Wait and see what happened."
A lot of this going on these days.

I live in NoVA...heard NOTHING about this until now, complete media blackout. (What a fucking surprise.) Someone in that article tweeted (X'ed?) that the fire/law enforcement response was greater than the Miami mall aliens response back in January...which is absolutely true.
Keep your heads on swivels, folks...there's more and more fuckery afoot.
Although that’s normally the case this was not a media blackout. I couldn’t sleep last night and was watching YouTube. A video was in my feed at it was posted several hours before I posted this link.
