Canada is rapidly becoming one the worst and most corrupt countries the world has ever seen.
To describe Justin Trudeau as incompetent or stupid is folly. Incompetence can be dismissed. Mistakes can be forgiven. What JT is doing is nothing short of pure evil.
How does a country with the most land mass per person find itself in the midst of a housing crisis? It's not bc of incompetence.
The biggest problems Canada has isn't with the government it is the people of Canada themselves. The solution isn't going to be found within the elections. If JT is the matrix then Pierre Polivere is diet matrix.
The judges, the police chiefs, the elected officials, the unelected bureaucrats, the teachers (from jk - university) are entirely and wholly corrupt. There isn't an infrastructure project that is without corruption. There's isn't a single aspect of regular everyday activities that isn't tainted by this deep and dark corruption.
Canada doesn't need a new leader or reform. It needs revolution. It needs to become a constitutional republic.
So Canadians..... pretty please. Stop bitching and complaining. Stop whinning. Stop pretending your country is good or just - its not. It's corruption is similar to Venezuela, Pakistan and North Korea.

Our longest serving Prime Minister, MacKenzie King, who governed on and off from the Depression to WWII, was a whackjob occultist who communed with the dead via séances, a crystal ball, and "tapping tables" (an early form of ouiji board). The avenue he left for Satan to infect this place was enormous; you can't have a country led by someone communing with evil spirits and come out untainted. He was a member of the Liberal Party.
Lester B. Pearson changed the flag in 1965, deliberately trying to cut "colonial ties", that is, deliberately trying to erase the history of the country and the identify of the founding peoples. The flag symbolized a whole "new thing", an existential rootless, shall we even say "post national" State, that you make up for yourself into whatever you want it to be. And Liberal Party colours, natch.
Probably the biggest icon of the Liberal Party was Pierre Trudeau who dominated the late 1960s to the early 1980s. He brought in an unnecessary "Charter of Rights and Freedoms" which did not contain property rights, he alienated the West, ran up the debt, he eviscerated the role of private charity by bringing in so many social programs, he may well have encouraged the FLQ's domestic terrorism "under the table". Certainly he was a "social progressive" who legalized divorce and abortion. He raised (though perhaps did not father) Justin Trudeau.
And then there is Justin, about whom nothing good can be said.
The Conservative Party may have been at times incompetent and stupid (I will never forgive Harper for not filling the Senate when he had the chance).
But the Liberal Party has been a great source of evil, and that has gone on for almost a century at this point.
This is the autistic gold that I've come to love and admire from this board.
I'd only suggest that our parties are jyst as corrupt and compromised as the Yankees.

Harper also refused to do anything about the Supreme Court's striking down of laws against abortion or gay marriage even though he could have by introducing new legislation. He made all kinds of bad decisions that made many conservatives reject his party, ushering in the reign of Justin Trudeau. This was by design, IMHO.

IMO it's basically the same in both places. Similar to the US in corruptness and shitholeness.
The difference in the political structure is significant. The US constitution limits government's rights, whereas the Canadian constitution limits people's rights. That is significant, from a legal standpoint. But the practice is the same anyways so it makes little difference in actual life.
Plus not every system is "entirely" corrupt, as you say. My relative is a university professor in public health and she stood against the vaccine, didn't get vaccinated, and still has her job and high position. Things are never that black and white. Did you not watch star wars, bro? Only a sith deals in absolutes.

In Canada, the further away you are from a major city (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver etc.) the better the town. The problem is, the majority live in those shithole cities, and proportional representation isn't a thing yet, so that's a huge problem. Outside of the big cities, the populace is more Conservative in thinking. Tend to be more friendly overall as well.

My wife is Canadian. I have this argument with her family every year. The difference between an Americans attitude on life and liberty and a Canadians is that American freedom was attained through armed struggle and Canadians was just kinda sorta handed to them after a couple centuries of being good little toadies.
Its interesting to note that when my wife first moved here she was amazed by the amount of houses that fly the American Flag. She would shake her head and say "You would never see that in Canada."

Its difficult to find stories on the consequences of these actions. In 2016 - 2018 they were all over the net. I read many. I just spent 30 minutes looking on multiple search engines and couldnt find one.
Then around 2018 they had a big Chinese 'winter training' run in Ontario. I seem to remember that public opinion at least limited the planned on scope of the event.
I have all this saved offline but the massive amounts of data I have collected and the chaotic state it is in will only be helpful to historians now.
