Just a reminder of what the woke culture is really about: Erasing history and creating their version of said history.
A great woman erased from history by the woke mob.
The branding of the syrup was a tribute to this woman’s gifts and talents.
Now future generations will not even know this beautiful woman existed. What a shame. The world knew her as “Aunt Jemima”, but her given name was Nancy Green and she was a true American success story.
She was born a slave in 1834 Montgomery County, KY. and became a wealthy superstar in the advertising world, as its first living trademark. Green was 56-yrs old when she was selected as spokesperson for a new ready-mixed, self-rising pancake flour and made her debut in 1893 at a fair and exposition in Chicago. She demonstrated the pancake mix and served thousands of pancakes, and became an immediate star.
She was a good storyteller, her personality was warm and appealing, and her showmanship was exceptional. Her exhibition booth drew so many people that special security personnel were assigned to keep the crowds moving.
Nancy Green was signed to a lifetime contract, traveled on promotional tours all over the country, and was extremely well paid. Her financial freedom and stature as a national spokesperson enabled her to become a leading advocate against poverty and in favor of equal rights for all Americans. She maintained her job until her death in 1923, at age 89.
This was a remarkable woman, and sadly she has been ERASED by politics. I wanted you to know and remind you in this cancel culture time period.
Wow! Thanks for the detail; I knew she was a real woman (although not her real name) but knew nothing about her life.

On the other hand, unless I'm mistaken, Betty Crocker was only as real as Max Headroom.
I remember Max lol
Great summary! It's a complete shame they couldn't have dropped the "Aunt Jemima" bit and just named their product after Nancy Greene. Hell, even had a QR code on the back of the box people could scan and watch a video about her story.
Also to add, she was a very savvy businesswoman. She was smart enough to negotiate royalties to be paid to her estate once she passed. The whole name change was less about being woke and more about not having to pay those royalties.
Should be worthy of black history month, you would think right 👍
She became a Vice President of the company and was very proud of her role in its success.
I love her! I grew up with her!
I was so sad to see the new Pearl brand takeover because of the wokie racism. There was a older man stalking the shelf behind me and I asked him where Aunt Jemima was? (Just to see what a normal person would say) He replied rolling his eyes it looks like it's all gone and they took over. I said are you kidding me? When will this end? The older man said I have no idea! She was a real part of America part of everybody's breakfast. Damn these people.
Part of woke is to erase people. They have erased this fine woman. They are working on erasing the American Indian. Once erased, they can abuse and then eliminate people, groups and cultures.
The radical Left is trying to erase all women.
Just look at the trans movement and how they want to use men to take over every last aspect of women's lives.
The rest of the story….interesting !

Thank you !
My pleasure….thank you, for reminding me, happy I saved the story.
👍
I have been refilling my Aunt Jemima syrup bottle ever since we lost her.

There is a worthy successor. Terrance Williams is making pancakes great again. It's a great story and the blackberry syrup is legitimately amazing. I just like looking at the box, it makes me smile every time.
Cousin T's Original Pancake Syrup Ingredients: Corn Syrup, Water, Contains Less Than 2% Of Citric Acid, Natural & Artificial Maple Flavor, Salt, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sugar.
Anyone that sells table syrup under their name or likeness isn't worth your patronage. It's industrial garbage.
With what? Table Syrup?
You know table syrup never came from a tree, right?
If I were that company, I’d be putting her face right back on the bottles!
If I were that company I would stop producing Table Syrup and poisoning americans.
Part of any reset involves destroying the people's history, culture and icons. Whenever the people need a hero, we shall provide them one.
