The debate will be cancelled this week. The media will blame the muted mics and the fact that President Trump hates them.

If...if the debate happens, Trump will destroy Crooked Joe and Big Mike will be ushered in as the nominee.
My guess is the debate won't happen and that Big Mike will be installed on August 19th at the DNC.
If making sure Biden doesn’t get replaced by the Dems was an objective President Trump would not have accepted a pre Democrat Convention date.
President Trump is a master at putting his opponents into a lose-lose position. If they freak out and replace Biden they lose because it will be very difficult to install a new candidate this close to the election. If they jump over Harris the optics are bad, if they stick with her the optics are bad.
If they prop Biden up they lose. If he does as poorly as many people suspect he will, and they try to put a positive spin on his performance, it will backfire.
Their only hope is a dementia fighting drug cocktail that gets Biden through the debate in better condition than people expect.

They already plan on replacing him with Newsom and letting Kamala run for governor of CA. I don't think they will have a debate because he isn't going to be the candidate and if they do have it, they will be the ones to say shit about President Trump and he will have to set them straight.
