Yeah, when I realized I couldn't actually marry my hottie of a kindergarten teacher, I told the prettiest girl in my kindergarten class she was my girlfriend, put my arm around her shoulder at story time, and that was that. I didn't know about sex, but I definitely had a heterosexual orientation when I was no more than 5.
I was 5 in 1984 (😱) and I can attest that it was immeasurably simpler to be so then than it is today. I believe ours was the last generation that can say that. Life for a 5 year old in 1994 was a light year beyond 1984, whereas life in 1974 to 1984 wasn't that hugely different. They definitely pressed the societal destruct nuclear button in the late 80s.
A goodly portion of my elementary school became aware of it when one girl in our class suddenly became a C or D cup, and even that was already several years early. It got discussed in gym class, and has gotten exponentially worse since then.
Just like with other things that have to be watched out for, gotta make sure kids aren’t being stuffed full of soy at school. It took us over 20 years to figure that one out and start getting the word out about soy and autism. No telling what these people are putting in children now that we don’t even know about yet. I still remember seeing a Time article and news broadcasts decades ago about how children were suddenly “mysteriously” starting puberty as early as 7 or 8. They absolutely knew why.
when I was 5 I wanted to be a horse, so glad they didn't start transitioning me. Joking aside, I lived in a world filled with imaginary play, make believe, not one of those fantasies had to do with gender or sex, etc. I played homemaker but there was no idea of a spouse, just me with my favorite doll and her clothes and a tiny ironing board with a toy iron that did not work, plastic horses and farm animals, cartoons on saturday morning, and my imagination, I wanted to have 20 horses, I broke rocks open to see the glittery insides. My first crush was when Dad took me to the circus and I could not take my eyes off the trapeze guy, my Dad thought it was so cute. Some boys were nice and some were mean, but I did not think of them as "boyfriends" I kind of knew that those were for later, I knew I was a child. I thought babies came from being married, it was part of the deal. I was allowed to be a child with childs games and imaginations. Found out about the "facts of life" from a friend, and when she told me, I immediatly thought, well, my parents didnt do that, maybe hers did becuase they were Lutheran, but we were roman Catholics and definitely did not do that gross thing. I was 10. I asked my mother and she told me that was not anything to talk about and that was that. Irish Catholic born 1950.
3-day with a hyphen.
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
However, banning people for correcting stuff is not cool. Personally, I think we lose credibility if we can't use proper grade-school spelling, punctuation, and grammar. People can curse the government schools all they like, but if we try to educate each other properly, people get annoyed and offended.
Girls had cooties when I was 5.
Not to brag, but I never fell for that nonsense. I always thought girls were cute.

You also had way better game than I've ever had. Bravo.

How’s this one? I’ll post it separately.

I was not aware of sex until I was in the 9th grade health glass in 1979.

These people are sick.
At 5 years old in 1960, I was playing with the wooden blocks and little green army men. Had no idea what sex was or even cared.
Absolute truth.
Remember liking girls when I was 5.. Didn't know why or anything, it was all mysterious.

So ivermectin would have been okay , hmmm
Yup and those Catholics were doing that gross thing more than most, with the size of our families!
Not "their", but THEY'RE, a contraction of "they are".
Oops! I got a 3 day ban for pointing out a spelling mistake. Better just to downvote and say nothing.

Someone has to say what everybody knows.
