There are cowards, yes, but it's programming more than anything. People are programmed in many ways, not least of all to disbelieve sources that aren't the mainstream.
Most people 50s+ I know are all in on believing media, or if they don't believe the media then they also don't believe anything said outside of the media either though none of them are willing to spend the time to find their own answers.
And now we know why the Biden administration is pushing so damn hard to combat "misinformation" and now even has the SCOTUS on their side based off the news today. This is bad. Very bad.
