Pretty sure Thiel is hated by the globalists after supporting Trump in 2016.
But his close associate Alex Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir, is a rabid leftist-socialist who supported Hilldawg. Palantir is closely associated with the CIA and supports Ukraine in opposition to Russia. Thiel is tied into this firm.

Thiel has been fairly consistent in recent years about Trump.
I don't consider the "Trump was a democrat" argument a valid one to excuse current demonrats. Democrats back then were nothing like the rabid leftists who comprise a fair amount of the current demonrat party, for starters - while the 3-letters have devolved into a malevolent force for evil.
Trump maintains relationships with all kinds of individuals. Perhaps you've heard of the old adage "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"? George Jr and Daddy Bush were "fairly consistent" about claiming to have the American people's best interest at heart. There's a danger in taking these people with questionable ties at face value.
I simply think caution is advisable. MHO.
