Matt. 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Thanks for the reminder. Good quote.
Many quit attending church because the church is rife with grifters.
i stopped attending church when the priest talked about passing the basket again and again...... i dont need to constantly pay to follow the lord God...
Worshipping God requires a contrite heart, not an open wallet…
2 Corinthians 9:6: Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
"2 Corinthians 9:7: Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
that was not the point i was making..to pass the offering basket is one thing but passing it multiple times is another
I think you miss the point. There is no tithe, as in give 10 percent or you are a bad Christian. We left a church once for the same reason. I had crushed a few disk in my back, was in terrible pain but made it to church anyway, and two weeks in a row the whole service was about making a financial commitment to raising $500,000 for restoration of some stained glass windows. The constant bombardment with "i need money" is not Biblical and not doing the Lord's work.
I completely agree with 2 Corinthians 9:7, and I honestly believe it leads to more giving. Much like a cafe that automatically assigns a 15% tip as their requirement. That screws the wait staff and the customers. The wait staff puts out less effort because they know they are covered, the patrons are forced to tip that amount no matter how bad the service. My minimum tip is 15% and normally it's closer to 25% because I spent many years making a living thru waiting tables and managing the front side of the flagship Bennigans in the Dallas Galleria Mall, yes I realize this shows my age. But when they make it mandatory, that's all they get, period.
I would financially support our church much more if it would grow the balls to lose their tax free status and unchain themselves from the beast. When we give we do it because we're called to, we don't want a receipt so we can claim it against our taxes and we don't want our names mentioned when we give big chunks towards building projects and so forth. We shouldn't let our right hand know what our left hand is doing, and I'm pretty sure if it's announced, celebrated, and reported to the IRS for a "reward" then that is your reward...here on earth, and will not be recognized in heaven.
Only give cash.
Amen
He was very well known but I guess selling your soul to the dark lord for gains in this world.
He was a scumbag like most of the preachers on TV. My sister loves him. He doesn't take a salary from his church but makes his money from his books. However, a lot of money comes in as cash. Joyce Meyers's books once belonged to her ministry, but Joel showed her the way with books. Joyce has multiple mansions, in one area she has mansions surrounding hers for her children.
Didnt they have money stuffed in the church office wall.
Wow!
There are some good pastors on tv. I somehow just didn't like him along with Copeland.
I saw a reporter confront Copeland about how he owns multiple airplanes, and came across as demon-possessed to me.
Oh I saw his glass eyes.

And he takes money from you like a Jew.
And then lie to you that later you will have more, and he will be able to have more.
Aah, that would.
Or you caught him at a Texas Longhorns game.
Oh. Is that it? His is a mega church and trans shooting.
Yup..."religion" sans faith. Entertainment for the mind, while your spirit starves.
He's earned his place right next to mother Teresa, the Dali lama and the pope.
I would not be one bit surprised if pics of him flitting around in red leather shoes surfaced...
I would not be either. I never watch him, just like I don't watch Copeland either even before I know anything about these 2.
I never like Osteen. I've always seen him as a fake, but I am not going as far as saying he condones what Lil Nas has done or is even into their satanist crap. He may not even know who he is standing beside in the picture. He is a schmoozer. Its his strong suite, and schmoozers gonna schmooze at least until they find out who you are.
The devil has his minions court those he has not captured. Probably the greatest example of that is all the cabal puppets trying to associate Trump with Epstein because they were photographed in the same pictures.
A picture paints a thousand words, and pictures also lie in the hands of the propagandists.
For some of us, we just naturally avoid the bad ones it's like they put off bad moojoo or something. I did not like his look and so I never watch him. He and Copeland just didn't feel right.
People need to understand the difference between religion and faith.
Very true.
Never liked him
Me neither. Mainly he looks odd I think. Not sure why
Anything to keep people from the one true God the Father of Jesus Christ our savior v
You are 100% correct on that.
Of course but Ken Copland has eyes that would make a freight train take a dirt road. Straight up demon.
He also wear red shoes. 2 years ago I saw him on tv (never seen the guy before), and he was wearing red shoes preaching.
Man of God????……i think not
Man of Satan more like it.
Good job Brain..
WC
Olsteen always creeped me out. (Almost as much as crazy-eyed joker-face-Kenneth Copeland.)
Difference is, Lil Nas needed makeup, props, and the whole carnival Hollywood machine to even get me to notice him.
It's almost like the evil reflected on their faces (Copeland and Olsteen).
Name checks out
Thanks.
Lol not yours. Olsteen
I am cool either way. Thanks.
