I don't like her but I don't see what's wrong with her amateur explanation of "cloud". I mean it's not as if she's an IT technician.
Seems to me that she's making a valid point that your data is safer and more private when contained in your own premises. Don't tell me that the cloud operators can prevent the government fishing through your data whenever they feel like it.
She's the 'VP' and she doesn't know that the 'Cloud' is Just a term for an Offsite physical Server somewhere in a Building....?!?! "Its
NO LONGER in a physical place.??...😆😆I'm Not in IT but anyone with half a brain knows that there's NO 'Cloud' up there somewhere...
Agreed. This seems pretty much par for the course for how she speaks.
If something is stored on my physical laptop, I know "exactly" where it is. If it is in the cloud, I really have no idea where it is being stored. Somewhere, yes. Exact location, IDK. It is why they came up with the term "cloud" to represent what is happening.
But, it might be something. Because whoever runs the cloud has information to everyone that uses it. When thieves had to go out and break into buildings it was much more difficult for them to get any information on them and the chances of them getting caught were greatly enhanced. Now, they can sit home in their underwear (or less) and get everything on us without leaving, and who will catch them-years later we will be told about the theft and given 1 year of security checks on our identity-real nice-putting more of our information out there for the FREE taking!
No problem fren, I understand totally. I always try to make the point of how easy it is for crooks today. They may need a little more "technical" skill, but they don't have to leave their house.
I was referring to making a big deal about her explanation as being nothing. I think that there are other examples that more strongly showcase her lack of intelligence.
Agree with you when it comes to cloud computing and I try to avoid it whereever possible.

"Cloud" = "Someone Else's Computer"

you mean my data isn't stored in tiny droplets of water in the sky?
All those Starlink satellites are simply for relays.
Normally, I would agree with you. However, I have reason to believe that she genuinely thinks your data is stored in an actual cloud.
"Maybe that's how the Republicans got ahold of all of Hillary's e-mails" thought Kamala as she watched raindrops slither down the window.
I pity the fool standing on Guam when the data cloud rains and floods that island and it tips over.
Is that from anything specific or just because you don’t think she’s smart?
I don't think she's smart. I don't think she's got the brains or the balls to go toe to toe with a world leader, any world leader.
You don’t think she’s smart enough to understand basic tech lol
Nope cant get behind this.
She literally said it's above us like a cloud lol
It's just a server

This is making much ado about nothing.
