An older man marrying an younger WOMAN is one thing, but an older man having ANY sexual relation with a child (any female younger than 17 is a child by any standard of biology and psychology) should ALWAYS be considered abhorrent and illegal.
I was just talking about this kind of thing with my wife today. The Bible also doesn't condemn slavery, but every human knows it is wrong. The Bible doesn't mention abortion as wrong, but it is highly implied/supported to be wrong by scripture. There are many things the Bible (God) doesn't mention, but as humans, we know they are wrong. A parent doesn't have the right to give a child away in marriage if the child doesn't want it (and it shouldn't even be a question to consider if a child is involved). Pedophilia, like a lot of sin, is often justified through any means possible.
You need to review your history; Africa was not the only source of slaves in the world. As long as you aren't a slave, you are in favor of it, right? Something that is wrong for some humans is wrong for all. Perhaps you are a Democrat and think people should be treated differently?
