This is Trump country, plain and simple. There are no fence sitters left. You're either for Trump or against, and that colors your opinion of everything that happens. Whether the moderators helped Kamala or not (they did) Trump didn't come off very well in that debate (maybe by design), and it didn't matter one iota. The country has made its choice, and that choice is clearly reflected in all of the polls asking who won the debate last night. Without cheating, Trump will win bigger than Reagan did.

He didn't lose.
He just didn't destroy her, like we wanted and expected.
He is the front runner, he shouldn't attack her,it looks bad for the undecided. He allready has our vote.....
In my eyes he underperformed, because he kept repeating the same things, he'd always said (which are true for the most part). If there are any undecided voters however, he needs to go into the details of how he's going to fix the problems, and ignore Cackles' attacks.
Everyone is not the same as you and I.
Anyone still undecided, probably needs it repeated over and over to remember it. You can probably see hundreds of hours of his speeches on the internet, you need to motivate people to look for them and watch them.
Ok, but he could explain his policies better instead of reacting to bs like "your rallies are boring" or "world leaders laugh at you". That's what the audience expects. I don't think he looked once in the camera before the final statement...
Political debates are for retards.
So? That's 90% of the electorate.
cant argue about that
I think he was reserved and held back to not appear mean and bullying to the squishy cat ladies in the middle who might be considering voting for him for economic/safety reasons but are put off by 'mean tweets'.
He made the points he needed to about the economy and Harris pretending like she wasn't VP the last 3 1/2 years.
Damn straight. “The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis.” DANTE ALIGHIERI

AND, realize that if PDHT had crucified KH, the Dems/uniparty/DS/cabal would have had an excuse to swap her out with another of their more popular evil puppets who might garner more votes.
^^^^^ This - PDJT played rope-a-dope to lure Kamabla into a false sense that she has a chance and keep her from being cast aside by the democrats and make Trump prepare for yet his third opponent in as many months.
Why prepare for something that doesn't matter in the end? Like you have said, the people have already decided.
Exactly.
I liked his closing statement when he asked why she hadn’t accomplished any of the things she has been promising in the last 3 & 1/2 years?
Hopefully that will be many people's takeaway.
Definitely his best moment of the night.
Ain't nobody lost shit jack
He bossed it frankly. He has stature and authority. She came off fairly well if you are easily taken in by liars (or actors), but not as a leader, more a manager/executive type. 45 simply stood his ground.
if by "manager/executive type" you mean "bitch" then I agree with you
Haha
He knocked her around with a few zingers, but he really didn't have to do anything else except reinforce the lies and bad policies of the O'Biden/Kameltoe admin to the normies watching.
Really? Debate depends on content and hers was made up of lies and gobbledygook, nonsense.
Personally I subscribe to the theory of debate proposed in the book “The Art of Controversy” by Arthur Shoppenheimer. He makes a great case that substance of a public debate is of actually very little consequence—that what impacts impartial onlookers is not facts, but poise. The person who appears less emotional and frazzled is perceived by undecided onlookers as the winner. regardless of facts or logic or anything. Given the fact that unbiased onlookers basically don’t exist in a presidential debate between competing political parties though, the performances in this case, as I explained in my post, were irrelevant. Buy if I was unbiased, I would have definitely said that Kamala came off less emotional. Trump came off angry and annoyed, just like he did in 2020 against Biden, which doesn’t play well. When you look back at 2016 when Trump was tearing through the republican candidates in the primaries, he never came off that way. He always came off with “amused mastery.” Like “a wise old cat dismissing his opponents as if they were nothing but mice playing with his tail” (to borrow a line from Mark Twain’s description of how Brigham Young came off when dealing with him).
Trump knows what wins debates and he’s shown to be a master at it. Which is why I suspect that this tactic was done intentionally, for the reason I state in my post—to show the world that he could win even without winning; that this is now Trump country and anything short of a landslide victory in November could only be a result of fraud. But at no point did I feel he handled this debate the way he did in 2016, no.
He won just by showing up. He could've said absolutely nothing and refused to answer every question or answered them all with questions of his own. It didn't matter. What mattered is that the debate was held in enemy territory (ABC) by enemy combatants (MSM talking heads), and those talking heads blatantly and overtly aligned themselves against Trump as a man, a father, a husband, and a former POTUS while exposing the whole debacle for the shameful sham it was.
IMHO, this was a masterful display of motivational manipulation on his part, and all he ever had to do was accept [their] debate terms and show up. And now [their] game has been highlighted for the Normies. I've seen all over the internet and in person with random strangers how last night played out and that there's a lot of former fence sitters who are now motivated (or manipulated) to now vote for the man.
Remember, the various displays we see Trump making on tell-a-vision isn't meant for us, they're meant for those who are still asleep or only half awake.
I WILL FITE U! 🤬
