Education of any sort increasingly means absolutely dick all. Most of the standards are set by people who increasingly have either never set foot inside a classroom of any sort as a Teacher or Professor. Or stand to benefit financially from kickbacks from the Printers selling overpriced Textbooks at 60-70% markup. For classes that they deemed mandatory. Hell. They’re selling literal glorified PDF Files for 100-$120 bucks a pop now. The Cheapskate’s don’t even want to print physical textbooks now.
The best people I've ever worked with did not go to IV league schools or had the top education, everything handed to them. The ones that got these high level educations were actually the dumbest idiots.
The best are the blue collar, came from nothing and will grind hard to make it. Street smart, logical, and never had anything handed to them.
The failing educational system is deliberate: dumb them down and you keep them down and dependent on the government for everything to survive. They will quickly learn to comply in order to: get food, housing, health care, central bank digital currency participation, etc. You will then comply with gun confiscation, 15 minute cities, voting or not at all (as the government tells you). You will comply with fighting their wars, taking their vaccines and even ending your life.
When I was in school, 70% was failing, not passing. Actually, 75% or below. Also, get your kids out of these schools and start pushing for local candidates that support either eliminating property taxes or vouchers for parents to choose better options.
Chicago schools are nothing but a baby sitting agency then. There is no point in giving anyone a passing greade if they dont comprehend what is being taught. Might as well put them to work picking up trash in the streets.
Fine. I would give them each a 70% as instructed. I wouldn't bother checking their homework or exams, don't care what grade they actually earned and wouldn't even bother teaching them. You get a 70%, but no education. Since this is for elementary school, good luck with it. You'll struggle through the rest of your middle and high-school afterwards.
