A friend of mine just returned from the impact zone. Over a beer he told me they spent almost a day with FEMA body recovery team. They were Western PA firefighters contracted by FEMA in FEMA marked trucks and they were salt of the earth. Of course it was 12 to 4 and 8/12 were armed which makes for a polite scenario. HE did see proof of 82ND ABN and NCNG on the ground. I've also tracked USAF Recovery assets on radar.
Yeah, many of the "FEMA personnel" actually getting shit done are going to be firefighters and EMS contracted (for about $1,000 a day) for that particular disaster.

The amount of taxpayer money and relief food medical and other material wasted is stupendous.
After the same insanity in dealing with them in two disasters I was totally done, never again.
When government officials are comfortable, they get corrupt and do corrupt shit. At no point should they ever feel comfortable, and by extension, safe. Keep them on their toes, like they could go to prison for any slipup. This is the only way.

I've done all I can to prepare my house and my family for the potential coming destruction and hardship Milton will bring, and I have my full faith and trust in God and Jesus to see us thru, so while I may be slightly uncomfortable, I am also excited that the Harris/Walz supporters in my neighborhood are about to have a very rude awakening. Its a very weird set of emotions.
