Purchase internet connectivity from a bloated, DEI infused company that hates you, or purchase internet connectivity from a visionary moving mankind into the future.
"$120/mo for residential on a fixed income. No can do."
That's the part that rarely gets mentioned when people start raving about Starlink. A hundred and twenty bucks a month obviously isn't a lot of money for most people, but when you're on a fixed income, the well runs dry pretty quickly.

And you may be right. But our bank account doesn't care what I count on.
$120 for “up to” 220 mbps. That’s terrible. I would use this if I had absolutely zero options. And even then I’d be ticked I’m paying that much for so little. I pay $70 for 1000 mbps(1gig). And mine is just a local county available service, nothing mainstream. These big tech companies need to do better. All those satellite ones are just ridiculous. Americans are being abused so badly compared to other nations that use internet.
Used solar panels are really cheap. Store a few if you don’t care to mount them yet.
You’ll also need one of those all in one inverters and a battery if you can afford that. An inverter for electronics use only would be pretty reasonable.
I’m more worried about 115 degrees without ac. Hehe
I recently bought a place in the country to get out of the city and we use Starlink. It is excellent and easy to set-up.
Lived in the country forever, Starlink is the only system that always works.
That's great!

Choose wisely.
Starlinking for several years now. It's been awesome.

The nation emergency’s began on 2022 Inauguration Day.
It looks like Starlink has a contract with TMobile. So switching carriers might be an option for you? Well maybe?
At least half of the tech personnel at TMobile sign off from my support calls with "God Bless You". I love it.
The logo looks like a Helium atom to me.
He's taking us to new heights?
Logo looks like a Black Eye to me. "We are safeguarded by a black eye".

Starlink is capable of sending EMS-type messages to any phone in America regardless of carrier.

When you go to the website it show TMobile as having a contract with Starlink.
Which is precisely when we are with T-Mobile until we get Starlink...
We just bought ours. We’re waiting for the delivery, but it’s been delayed because I think of the storms and them sending out emergency equipment.
