It's a line from the movie "Mean Girls" where one of the girls is trying to turn the word "fetch" into meaning something cool. She's told to "Stop trying to make fetch happen" I think that movie may be older than the daughter. So the commentator may have thought she was sounding cool herself but no. Just no.
