Maybe. A keystone is the central, topmost stone in an arch that holds all the other stones in place. In traditional stone arches, the keystone is the final piece inserted during construction, and it locks all the other stones together by distributing the pressure evenly, which allows the arch to bear weight.
In a broader, metaphorical sense, keystone can also mean the most crucial part of a system or organization—something essential for its stability and success.

PA is the Keystone State. PA was vital to voting for Independence and without PA, it's likely the revolution would have stalled before it even started. Once again, our Commonwealth will have all eyes on it Tuesday.
PA is the keystone state because of the 13 original colonies in that 6 colonies physically lie above PA and 6 states are located below PA on the US map. PA is in the middle just as a physical archway with a keystone to hold it together.
While that's true, more importantly are that two of our most historic documents were written and signed in Philadelphia and it's where our first Continental Congress met. And let's not forget that Bucks County, PA is the site of the most daring and badass surprise attack in military history. Without Washington's success in Trenton, we wouldn't be talking about this.
In fact the original and true U.S Post Office is still in Philadelphia, shut down with i think a million dollar debt hanging over it. The one in Washington is usurper that some have said is owned by the monarchy in England. Haven't dug very deepening it but the Phili part is historically proveable.

Excellent dig. When we talk about the deep state or draining the swamp, it's the SES. They are what would be executives in the private sector. An SES position is coveted for any GS worker.
CEO, CISO, CFO etc. get fired all the time. They serve at the whim of the owner or board. But this does not happen in federal service. They are truly entrenched. Draining the swamp is not possible without taking out the SES.

In Psalm 118:22, the word could be translated as either “cornerstone” or “capstone.” This is the verse that Jesus quotes in His parable of the vineyard.

Pennsylvania is one of the original 13 colonies that became states. The 13 stripes on our flag represents these 13 original states.
It is considered the Birthplace of Independence.
Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, is where the Declaration of Independence was signed in what is now called Independence hall and where the Liberty Bell hangs (it has been replaced a couple times due to damage - natural and not).
It sits just above the dividing line between the North and south. The Battle of Gettysburg that was a turning point in the American Civil War between the North and South was located in Pennsylvania. With 6 of the original 13 colonies above it and 6 below, it is referred to as the Keystone State (like an archway Keystone in architecture). This is part of the USA's masonic heritage with famous mason embedded in its history such as William Penn, Benjamin Franklin, and a majority of those who signed the Declaration of Independence and ratified the US Constitution.
