A glance at the timeline of the 20th century might almost adumbrate a correlation between "Let's start feeding our babies a scientific equation instead of natural boobshake" and many of our first world problems.
I was a dumbass in many ways, but as a young mother, I somehow instinctively knew breast was best. So glad I went through the trouble of pumping for my babies.

Formula was designed for instances when breastfeeding was not possible. It was never marketed as ‘safe.’ Also, formula should not have been intended to be used on a broad scale. The push to collect taxes from women by brainwashing them into to work force compounding with the disgust for stay at home moms who breastfed resulted in stay at home moms who bottle fed- to keep their breasts pretty and not be concerned with diet, drugs, and alcohol that might effect the child.
I hear to same line for why people use public schooling—“I went to public school and I turned out fine.” But did they turn out fine? Too subjective to be a rational argument. Are you 80 yet? 60? The decisions of today will effect tomorrow and years from now. Breast milk is best for reasons we know and reasons we don’t yet understand.
Interesting thought about the push for breastfeeding. I'm pretty old, so I was a formula baby, but breastfed my own children. With the so-called medical profession they delivered the poison via vax, and now want to keep spreading it. Makes sense coming from these monsters.
My daughter breast fed as long as she could (and now he has two little hamster teeth on bottom that can shred skin 😬) but she looks closely at the ingredients (no soy, organic, smaller companies) but it still concerns me since the FDA is so lax and don’t care what long term effects are on children. Truly evil.
Generations who never received colostrum because moms did not nurse even at first, in many cases. Deprivation that affected a whole lifetime of natural immunity. Just sad.
THIS! In the cow world, it is widely known that you must get colostrum into a calf within the first few hours. If you don't, the calf usually doesn't live or is incredibly sickly if it does.

Doctors take a semester on nutrition. They have no clue about formulas. Never until the modern time have I heard of so many women ‘unable’ to breastfeed. I’m talking about since the beginning of time. Must be a ton of breast augmentation going on. You know in many cases they cut the nipple out and put the bag in thru the hole and sew the nipple back on.
This comment is not specific to you but women who claim to not make enough milk aren’t told that it’s a feedback system. A baby will nurse constantly to tell momma’s body to make more and in about 24 hours the breasts will generate enough milk. But mothers won’t let their babies do that. Mothers today have no confidence in their bodies and do not trust the way the Lord made them because The Truth is not in them. And that is so sad and unfulfilling.
Yeah, hers was because of physical stuff and body reactions to it, it involved a whole lot of pain, she is all natural.. just leave it there dont wanna get into her business too much. She was in tears blaming herself, thinking she was a terrible momma because she had to rely on formula instead.
One more snippet to this discussion: in addition to all the other great points already made here, breast milk is effectively free. It's always the right temperature. It is exactly what your baby needs at that moment of life. And if you've even been in a family with a breastfeeding mama, you know that stuff is liquid gold! It fixes cuts, eye infections, etc. Truly a miracle concoction.
Formula is a garbage product (much like PediaSure and all those other "nutritional" drinks) and is wickedly expensive. I would give my baby goat milk (which is the closest to human milk) before I'd ever offer the chemical soup.
I breastfed both my children, no formula required. I don't understand the repugnance I see on some young pregnant women's faces when I ask if they are going to breast feed. Like it's nasty or something. Its the most natural way to feed a baby like vaginal birth is the natural way to have them. Idk. My own DIL refused to even consider breastfeeding. It might shrink her boobs. Or injure them. Ironically, they shrunk after she had the kids anyway lol. At least, that's one of her complaints. Lol

It may have been made with actual milk at some point. I know a guy in his 50s, his mom raised him on regular cow milk. He's ok.
My aunt was on her death bed as an infant and the town doctor put her on goat milk. Made it through alive.
My brother was allergic to everything but goats milk.
My mother couldn't breast feed. We were given canned milk with water. All five of us grew up and lived to old age and no chronic disease.
Formula for the 60’s was milk corn syrup and liquid vitamins.
Cows' milk is very rich for human babies. Calves gain 500 lbs in their first year.
