Hopefully DeSantis will appoint Gaetz to Rubio's empty Senate seat. Gaetz got a good look at who the enemy is in the Senate the last couple of days.

This actually makes perfect sense. Trump already told us that Lara refused to run because she has young children. Moving to DC could be problematic, especially for Eric who runs the family business.
It depends on if DeSantis believes the allegations, or if he thinks the allegations are more deep state character assassination. and setup.

My guess is that this was all planned as a sideshow for the media and the normies to distract from the real nominee who is probably being prepared in the background. Hopefully we'll know soon who that is. There are several people I would be excited about, starting with Rudy.
