Tariffs will have two purposes, at least at first. They will be used as a diplomatic cudgel to prod those nations engaged in unfair and/or illegal practices against the People of America to change their ways and to encourage companies to produce what they sell to Americans in America.

What Trump decides to place tariffs on will be decided by looking at the markets, protecting industries being hurt by cheap imports and bringing "Made in the USA" full force. If it is a product that should be made in America and it poses a risk to national safety because it comes from a foreign nation, this will be first priority. Relying on China to provide our pharmaceuticals is a perfect example.
Secondly, any nation following the DEI strategy or punishing their own people through the green new deal will be tariffed as well. Every effort will be used to defund and destroy the Globalist plan for world domination. Defunding and withdrawing from the UN, NATO, WHO, WEF and financially targeting any country who continues the globalist agenda.
When 75% of the global market is using currencies back by gold and Europe is still under the old fiat central banking system, it will prompt European countries to exit the European Union and Europe will win back its sovereignty.
