Supreme Court to Determine if Parents Have a Right to Opt Young Kids Out of LGBTQ Reading in Elementary School | The Gateway Pun...
The Supreme Court is poised to address a pivotal issue: Should parents be allowed to opt their young children out of mandatory LGBTQ reading in schools? This case could redefine parental rights and educational policy.
of course they do, why is this even a question?
Should have never had to go before the SC. Who ever is trying to block them from opting out needs to be out of the system to the point they have no standing to even file.
Indoctrination 101.
Exactly.
It's a Maryland case. Maryland is as bad as California. And the Maryland legislature has now subsequently changed state legislation and parents are not given any opt out! Given that the basis for the Supreme Court granting certiorari to the case had in part to do with parent's religious freedoms as the basis for the opt out, this change may be an attempt to moot the case before the Court. Slick SOBs here where the Deep State lives (think Jamie Raskin and Wes Moore).
I know !!! In what fkn world are we living in ! I can’t stand this …
And why would the Supreme Court assume it has any jurisdiction in this area?
In this case the parents wanted to opt their children out of this filth based upon religious freedom grounds and the school board cancelled the opt out and refused to permit it. The Supreme Court is interested in the protection of constitutional rights of freedom of religion and parental rights. This is a very important case.
Education is a State priority; not Federal. SC is Federal.
Religious liberty is a constitutional issue.
No sh*t!! WTF. How messed up is this? Why do parents need "permission" to protect their kids from learning about sick sexual preferences? The school personnel pushing this crap need to be exposed and fired!
Most of us will just "opt" our kids out of the public schools. Most kids can get a better education at their own speed online with parental guidance.
Home. School.
^this
“Should parents be allowed…”
This is a very bad precedent and a camel nose under the tent.
Phrasing should read, "Should public schools be allowed to subvert parental authority..."
SCOTUS does not have the right to decide whether a parent has the right parent their own children.
LBGTQ reading is a form of sexual harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. Parents need to sue on those grounds the individuals responsible for forcing this perversion on children. Then sue the school system for allowing it.
There should be no discussion.
Yeah, could care less what they say. We will opt them.out of public indoctrination.
Why do we even have this in schools anyway. Parents and taxpayers have all the rights to what is presented in schools and the LGBTQ reading is not on the list. Time to do away with the DOE and all the crap that it has embraced. That would make it easy for the courts.
I've been fighting the DoE for two decades, should be DOGE's first target IMHO.
This should be a basic right and we should ignore them if they judge wrongly.
It is and we will.
I'll make it easy, I'll opt out of the schools. Now stop making me pay for it
If parents cannot choose what their own children will learn, then it is forced indoctrination.
Honestly, it wouldn’t matter what the courts said, I would keep my kids out of school. Oh wait, I homeschooled them, for reasons such as this!
If the Supreme Court rules they don't have that right, my next exercised "right" would be to remove my child from any public school.
When I was 14 years old, I still had no clue what the female anatomy was all about. I couldn't understand why the plumbing section had male and female pipe fittings. That was back in 1979.
The DoE can't die soon enough!
"Thanks Daddy SCOTUS, for hearing my appeal to authority."
Parents have ALL the rights, crazy sh**.
If they can read that trash in school, then they can read the Anarchist's Cookbook too, and parents can't say shit about it.
