On that note, wish Esper was here. I think we need a modified Community Settings format, where there is different coloring for 'perma-stickies' and 'daily stickies'. Currently, we basically have only daily stickies, although some of these are stuck up for an extended period.
But compilation posts/threads like the above would serve a great function as perma-stickies, for newcomers, or those who visit only irregularly (once a week, or even less) to catch up and not have to wade through the board history. Not to mention the value of historical records and ease of research that such compilation perma-stickies could provide.
(They would need to be up on the board for an extended time or in a new Slot (in addition to HOT, NEW, RISING, TOP) so that they could gain the traction and truly become extensive compilations.)

Great idea, but the title of the perma sticky need to accurately/clearly reflect the purpose of the sticky. And would recommend breaking them into periods, for example Week 1, or January, February, or Feb, 01 - 15. Some separation so they can be saved off by period.
Title for example: Arrest Thread Period Ending Feb. 15th.
I don't think it will happen. It's a lot of work to modify the community settings, and in general, we are limited to the basic .win platform format. So this is really just a musing. A thought exercise, but not much more.
