Good point, but i wish these women and men would stop the foul language. I do not want to give the government anymore info. about me that can be misused. Don’t ask me for my driver’s license picture or state ID, nor my SS number, just use a pin. Any money i make on my retirement account, my savings, is taxed on withdrawl, along with my Social Security. The government has had the privilege of using my money for investments or misuse for whatever they deem necessary without my consent. My money involuntarily placed in social security should have been placed under my name and interest paid to me from investments. There should not be a cap on what benefits i receive. I worked two jobs for 40 years so that tells you how much OT i had, which was taxed at greater than 40%, more money paid into SS, until I reached the maximum pay out deduction to SS. Yet I am told I only can receive so much benefit. I could have had the same deduction put into a personal account, invested myself and earned more benefits.
They don't know everything. They don't know if you changed marital status, if you had a baby, if you gave money to charity, if you purchased energy-efficient upgrades for your home, etc. All of these things can affect how much taxes you would owe.
What they do know is what gets sent to them from W2s, 1099s, 1098s, and a bunch of other forms, but it's not the whole picture.
Working on my returns now. So far, the IRS owe me exactly $1. But someone please explain to me why my state tax refund from last year is included as income on my return. It was repayment for overpaying taxes last year.
If you took the full amount of state taxes paid as a deduction against your federal income taxes, but a portion was returned to you, that portion is taxed to reduce the deduction to the correct amount .
Come on man we ALL your tax dollars so we can sponsor Trans comic book in Peru: $1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
$70,000 for production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
$2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam
$47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
$32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
$2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala
$6 million to fund tourism in Egypt
Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation
Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
“Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria”
Funding to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries
Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban
What are you claiming on your taxes? And I know the free filing doesn’t allow people with homes and that to file, it’s a basic, just w-2s and investments thing.
But as for you yeah I understand with the 100 pages is bs
Income tax was never ratified by the states it is illegal. I had a friend of mine who never paid income tax in his life challenged the IRS presented his case and the IRS backed down they knew they were going to lose.
It cost me 450.00 bucks every year to file my taxes so I can find out how much in quarterly payments I have to make because I underpaid my last year taxes AND I am retired!
She's so close to acknowledging that the government is stealing from her and every tax payer.
We all feel this way.
Taxation is THEFT!!! END THE FED!!!!

If you were going to take out the IRS, the first logical step would be to show how badly taxes are wasted.

Exactly
It's a bizarre organization that knows what they want, yet asks you to tell them and then will correct you if your wrong.
If they knew, why even make us do the math....just quietly steal the money and give ot to those who won't work.

It's like being in a marriage with an over bearing Karen-type. The kind that is right even when they're flat out wrong.

The pin is at the end and what state was she in? I did the free version and mine went through. NY tried to reject it but than accepted it.
I know yall hate the irs, but I need context. Also read the damn instructions.
My taxes end up over 100 pages and takes me over a month to figure out. I’ve got better shit to do for sure

I’m filing an extension and not paying. Hopefully Trump kills the IRS sometime between now and October.
I'm not filing this year. I don't even care if I'm owed money. Gonna update my w-4 or whatever the fuck it is for max take home pay
Shall we trend---- #DESTROYtheIRS
I think we’ve paid enough taxes. Remember, only at the precipice will they change…
