Why and how TF can a judge say the govt can't cancel CREDIT CARDS? What justification for that can there possibly be? Credit cards are an entitled PERK? SMH
They can't, but the left is out of options so they have to try something even if it makes no sense.
Cancel them anyways. If Judge gets pissed and orders them to reissue cards just say sure thing, problem is that's going to take like 6 months and in the mean time we will be appealing your ruling. But we promise to work really hard getting those credit cards back up and going. Start pissing on the judges and just tell them it's rain.

As a Federal employee, we would charge hotel and other travel costs to our government issued card. The card balance would be paid by our agency, and any funds exceeding the total cost of the trip would be reimbursed back to us. (I may be mis-remembering this; it is possible we had to send a check to the credit card company after we were re-imbursed for the trip total; that's how bad my memory is now :) ) The point being that trip expenses were reviewed by a supervisor, and others in the food chain. It was rare anyone did something stupid and/or criminal with their card (I only heard about it happening, and never in my office). What is funny is that they used to give a daily per diem for meals and lodging, and you didn't have to show receipts, so people would just camp out and make meals and pocket the difference :) They changed to a "you must book lodging through the government travel agency" requirement. The meals per diem is still a flat amount based on location of travel.
