I have talked to many people and concluded they were staunch Conservatives and Republicans only to find out they are Democrats from a family of Democrats. Many people are quite confused about what's going on.
And they can be very intelligent in other areas and bass akwards about politics. It's the strangest thing.
Many people genuinely don't know. They think the Democrats love them and the Republicans hate them.
I knew a lot of "yellow dog Democrats" while growing up that had the same beliefs as my Republican family, but just weren't Republican. The Overton window has moved significantly. I'm sure many have changed their affiliation by now.
These wealthy people - she’s a self made millionaire- live in a bubble. Once they step into the real world the scales on their eyes drop away and they see the truth. It’s the ones that still believe the lies and choose not to change even though they know in their heart that they’re wrong, are the dangerous ones. Yep, its way too common here now. We should be accepting of others coming to our side, but that doesn't mean we should be letting our guards down.
