I've owed money the last few years I've done my taxes and my life situation hasn't dramatically changed financially. So, why would I rush to pay when I'm not getting refunds anymore? Go fuck yourself, IRS.

I stopped volunteering. I haven't paid taxes since then, not one single dime.
I filed for a refund, telling the IRS that they owed me money. They sent me 3 $500 fines for filing frivolous documents. Of course, I didn't pay them.
They filed liens against me, which they never were able to collect on. They filed wage garnishments on me at two different jobs, after which I quit on both occasions.
I asked myself what I could do to get around not having to pay taxes. I started learning computers and doing contract work. All contracts were short term, and if anything ever came from it I was always long gone.
Prior to Obama taking office, I became an expat. I've worked several long term jobs since then and not filing taxes has never been a hindrance.
As far as my current status, its my understanding I need to make over 120k per year in order to owe for taxes and the IRS claims/liens have long since expired. If Trump eradicates the IRS, I'll move back to the US again.
It was a struggle, but struggle creates an opportunity to grow and overcome. If I had to make the choice again to stop filing, I would. (I probably wouldn't alert them by sending them requests for refunds again lol).

What if all 77 million people that voted MAGA united to boycott paying federal income taxes until these conditions were met:
A 100% full forensic accounting of all the money, expenditures, of every department, program, or agency with unconstitutional spending is provided to the American People. If the Constitution doesn't specifically delegate it, then it must be abolished. Require that the federal budget be balanced every year.
Publish the actual cost to run the federal government through an annual forensic audit with full disclosure and transparency, once #5 has been completed.
Establish a $1,000,000,000,000.00 federal emergency fund that is used only for legitimate emergencies. Any funds used must be replenished within the span of 4 years of being used.
Secure all Federal Elections 100%. Make it a capital crime to tamper with or commit fraud in our elections.
Reduce the federal government to the size and scope the founding fathers intended when they wrote the Constitution. Eliminate all departments, all agencies, all programs, all projects, and all roles not specifically delegated to government through the Constitution. End all forms of welfare, including foreign aid, corporate aid, and domestic welfare programs. This will eliminate most unconstitutional spending. It will also shrink the government back to the size and scope originally intended. All departments and delegated powers that belong to the States will be funded 100% by those States, and with no federal dollars.
No more prosecuting victimless "crimes". If you couple this with repealing all unconstitutional federal weapons laws, and laws against forming local militia's, these actions would save millions to billions of dollars annually, while increasing the safety / security of citizens.
Eliminate all federal taxes on American citizens across the board. No other income taxes on citizens of any type at the federal level. This includes every form of property tax, and every single federal consumption tax: gasoline, diesel, communications, water, etc.
End all entangling alliances with foreign nations. This includes the U.N., NATO, WEF, and any other alliance or treaty that interferes with our sovereignty and independence. End all Treaties that are not favorable to the USA, or compromise our sovereignty in any way.
Enact sensible tariffs on foreign trade, just as the framers of our Constitution intended. All excess funds over what is required to fund the limited federal government would go to paying off the federal debt. Once that debt is paid off, all surplus funds would be evenly distributed to all American Citizens at the end of each year, with the exception of replenishing the emergency fund in #3 above.
Enact a flat 5% tax on businesses, but only on those with annual revenue over $10,000,000.00. This would allow small business owners plenty of breathing room to establish and grow a small business to a point of success allowing it to thrive once it was subject to the federal flat tax. All excess funds over what is required to fund the limited government would go to paying off the federal debt. Once that debt is paid off, all surplus funds would be evenly distributed to all American Citizens at the end of each year, with the exception of replenishing the emergency fund in #3 above. All other federal government fee's or charges for American owned businesses would be eliminated. Government is not intended to generate profits, only raise enough revenue to cover the actual cost of running a small and efficient government.
Enact a 5% federal flat income tax on all non-citizens living in our country. If they earn their citizenship, they would no longer be subject to that income tax. All excess funds over what is required to fund the limited government would go to paying off the federal debt. Once that debt is paid off, all surplus funds would be evenly distributed to all American Citizens at the end of each year, with the exception of replenishing the emergency fund in #3 above, and funding the deportation of illegal aliens apprehended or extradited within our borders.
Charge $100,000.00 for a four year student visa, and $200,000.00 for a 4 year H1-B Visa. Include the President Trump's Gold Card Visa program by charging $5,000,000.00 for this visa to qualified foreigners, with a cap of 2 million Gold Card Visas issued at any one time. Taking American school slots and American jobs is going to cost non-citizens. Any person, company, or school that is caught using any visa fraudulently will be fined $250,000.00 per incident for Student and H1-B, and $1 million for Gold Card Visa's. These funds would help defray the cost of deporting illegal immigrants. All excess funds over what is required to fund the limited government would go to paying off the federal debt. Once that debt is paid off, all surplus funds would be evenly distributed to all American Citizens at the end of each year, with the exception of replenishing the emergency fund in #3 above. Any person in the United States on a Visa is subject to having their Visa revoked immediately for engaging in unethical or illegal conduct or activities, or for any act or participation in protests against the United States of America. This includes stealing, damaging, desecrating, or destroying our flag, or advocating the violation or overthrow of our Constitution.
Require all legal immigrants to live within the United States for 14 years before allowing them to become a U.S. Citizen (8 years for those married to a U.S. citizen, or for a minimum of 8 years honorable military service). During this time they must earn their citizenship and prove they truly intend to become an American, to include passing an exam proving they are 100% proficient in the English Language. They would also be required to pass an extensive exam covering true American history, the principles upon which our Constitutional Republic was established, and have a thorough knowledge of our Constitution, and our federal government. They would be required to watch the video series listed in #30. This would also eliminate most green card scammers, green card divorces, etc.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment establishing English as the official language of These United States of America. Prohibit any government forms, publications, etc., to be printed in any language other than English.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment forbidding all non-citizens, all foreign governments, and all foreign companies from purchasing / owning any land or any other real estate. If they already do own some, they have to sell it within 12 months of the ratification of the Amendment. If it is not sold, it will be taken through Eminent domain, and sold at auction to State Citizens, and not to government or corporations.
Eliminate Social Security, and the Social Security Administration. This could be done by establishing a "cut-off" age. Anyone over that age gets to finish out their Social Security payments. Anyone under that age gets all of the money they put in over the years refunded in a lump sum payment that is not taxed. They would also receive a full refund of their spouses contributions, if they are deceased. This could easily be funded by all the other unconstitutional expenditures that would be stopped, as noted in #5 above. Anyone that did not pay into SS will not get SS. Once the unconstitutional / socialist program finishes paying out, then it would be forever abolished.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment mandating that the President has Line Item Veto power.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment mandating only single issue Bills can be introduced, and all Bills / Laws must be simple, short, and easily understood by any citizen with a high school level of education.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment requiring all deals and all votes in the Legislative Branch be public. The public will see who voted on what, who voted, or didn't, and how each member voted. No more secret backroom deals, and no more secret votes.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment recognizing in every federal court that jurors are the sole judges of the law and the facts.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment mandating everyone working for the government, elected or appointed, to be audited by an independent agency every 2 years. This includes all judges, all elected representatives, POTUS and Vice POTUS, as well as all cabinet members, and all department heads and managers. Make the penalty for violations of their oath or the law expulsion / termination and a lifetime ban from ever again working in the government, or holding office. For more serious violations, the penalty should be felony prison time.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment prohibiting recurring taxes on any type of property. This would prohibit government from infringing on the natural right to actually 100% own property.
Re-task the IRS to collect non-citizen income tax, tariffs, and the business taxes. Take away their "police" powers (No guns or arrest power), and make them the accountants and auditors they were created to be.
Privatize the USPS by selling it. Retain all government specific tasks (passports, etc.) by moving them under other Constitutionally delegated departments.

Enact a Constitutional Amendment limiting all federal judges to 6 year terms in office, with a maximum of 2 terms of office in the Judicial Branch.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment eliminating any requirements of a law degree, or any legal experience, to be elected or appointed as a federal judge. This applies to all levels of federal courts, including the SCOTUS. Instead, candidates are required to have an inviolable reverence and extensive knowledge and understanding of the Constitution, and the principles upon which the framers of the Constitution established our Republic. #30 and #31 are particularly important for federal judges to understand and master.
Enact a Constitutional Amendment requiring all candidates for any elected or appointed federal office be a natural born citizen to be eligible, and can't hold any other citizenship. These requirements apply to hold a security clearance or to be employed (to include volunteers) within the federal government.
Make it a capital crime for anyone in government to misappropriate, steal, or misuse our government funds, in any manner. Same principle as if you robbed a bank. The difference is it is a government public trust situation, and should have the penalty of forfeiting the life of any guilty party.

They steal enough taxes out of our paychecks each week. Then tax every fkg thing we do. We never really own anything, ex) pay property taxes forever. In reality, we are paying the government to live and they toss us a bone every once in a while.

When the whole health insurance scheme happened, where they fined you for not having it, i said fuck the tax return, they're just going to steal it anyways. I haven't expected money back, and since they steal it right from my paycheck, why in the fuck would I waste my time filing? Seriously, even if they owed me money, IDGAF. It's like.. I filed early, give me the credits baby. But in all honesty, why pay early. They don’t give you interest for the year holding on to what they deem is overpaid. So why pay them before the deadline, even then I don’t pay till a bill is sent
I haven't filed my taxes yet because ADP messed up the hsa line on the W-2 for the entire year, or that is what I an being told by HR, there is around 40 of us where I work I wonder if this is nation wide.
