Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is under fire from fellow Democrats after appearing alongside President Donald Trump during a White House signing ceremony, sparking accusations that she was used as a political “prop.”

“Just a f—ing disaster,” said one Democratic operative, who usually supports Whitmer but spoke anonymously to NBC News.

“It feels like it removes some of the momentum she had as a politically savvy swing-state Dem.”…

CNN senior reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere called the moment a “huge embarrassment,” while CNN host Audie Cornish said bluntly, “This does not look like the politics of resistance.”

Dovere also insinuated that the situation was set up by the Trump team, saying, “She [Gov. Whitmer] went for this meeting with the president, and he used her as a prop.”

Critics said the moment undercut Whitmer’s persona as a rising Democratic leader, especially as Trump praised her on camera, calling her a “very good person” who had done “an excellent job” in Michigan.

Whitmer even said that she agrees with Trump on some things. The horror!

So the pic posted may not be exactly what happened she may wish it did, lol.

There is election shit heating up in Michigan. (search GWP archives for GBI Industries voter registration fraud -- Patty McMurray has many articles detailing this since 2021). I think Trump did use her as a prop understanding what the Michigan House is doing and the referrals they made to AG Bondi. But shes too stupid and too ambitious (dangerous combination) at the same time to protect herself as shown in the photo lol.

Whitmer said Thursday that she went to the Oval Office to advocate for Michigan residents but found herself unexpectedly involved in a press conference with the president.

"It was not where I wanted to be or planned to be or would have liked to have been," Whitmer told reporters after an event on the campus of Oakland Community College. "I disagree with a lot of stuff that was said and the actions that were taken.

It appears to be real. Short Fox News video (three commentators talking about this picture), but they don't show actual moving footage of her, just this still of her hiding her face. I give it a high probability of being real, had thought it was a fake, too.

She is hated more than Granholm in this state currently. So there is that. She is doing a whole bunch of shit to try and make for good optics on her way out. No one is fooled.
