Keep in mind that the problem is a complex one and goes beyond just finances, since poor people have babies when they can't realistically support them, and the richer families aren't that more fertile than the regular family.
We need to tackle the problem on many fronts: economically, culturally, politically, at all levels of government, and outside the government.
And, ideally, we should have couples have children out of their own free will, and not under force.
Wealthier you are, less kids the couple is likely to have.
Of course, it's a complex issue and just throwing money at it usually never works, but I thought it was an interesting idea.
I like Hungary's system where you get a permanent deduction of income tax for life for each baby.
(In addition to the cost of birthing the baby likely being free)
Although income tax elimination for everyone is a goal for MAGA that we seek to accomplish in the near future, so it might not be a good long-term solution.

Yep , such a disgrace . In Cali many hospitals have set up portable delivery units in the parking lots because they cannot handle the amount of illegal woman having babies . It’s not going to stop , we are not only, Not deporting any of the 20/30 million new illegals, but the illegals are having thousand's of babies a week . We will have another million children here in no time . We can’t even get rid of the gang members properly , the dream of getting rid of the 20/30 million supposedly not committing crimes, is just that , a dream .

It’s such a disgrace ! I’m so disappointed with Noem Bondi Kash and Holman . I pray president trump replaces them as soon as he can breath . He’s being pounded on everything he tries to do ! Bondi is a big joke . I’m starting to think DJT knows there’s a problem . He several times in the middle of a conversation stopped talking leaned over to Bondi and says , “you’re doing a great job “ she squirms everytime he says it . To me it’s like he’s toying with her . I don't think a deep state stooge like Bondi has any shame about Trump telling her she's doing a fantastic job. She is doing a great job (for her real masters). So far the only one that seems to be doing anything of worth has been Elon, but he's leaving soon. Trump has been complaining a lot on social media, hopefully he becomes frustrated enough to replace Bondi, Kash and Holman.

That's why tax incentives are a better route. People get to keep all their income to have a family but the welfare checks stay the same.
American mothers should have more babies. We can also work on getting fathers back in the homes.
Orban gives mothers tax-exempt status when they have a third baby. So there are several different types of financial inducement.
I think free electicity for new mothes can help (maybe until the babies are six months old?), as power consumption jumps, to keep baby (and new mother) warm, and wash and dry all the mountains of laundry. This must count for ANY mother, not just the 'poor' ones. Sometimes the power surge will break the bank for middle-class people, when the mother has had to stop working to care for her baby, halving their income: the couple has to take a cut in pay, just when they need more money.
An incentive like this should ONLY be available to mothers that are married to the childs father.
I get the sentiment (urgency, quick fix) and I trust DJT (stable genius) but this is not the issue here. We need parental leave and general vacation leave and better work laws in general. Wage theft is real. There’s no reason for Americans to still slave away with strict time off allotments. And I won’t even get into the mess that is healthcare. Western industrialized countries are all dealing with this issue; it’s glaring everyone in the face but the powers that be want to try anything else but solve the real issue. Who wants to procreate in a slave economy? Where women aren’t valued as mothers, men aren’t valued as fathers, children are attacked and indoctrinated, no one can afford what they should be able to for the amount of work they put out, everybody is running at 3x speed with no time for thoughts or joy or self care. The problem is systemic and we should be working 30 hour weeks. Land/houses/property should be affordable. But they blame us and throw small change at the problem thinking our goldfish brains will go, “oOoh shiny!”
Women are expected to work like they aren’t mothers and mother like they don’t have jobs. Call me crazy but it would also be cool if companies offered men a double salary if they wanted to be breadwinners supporting stay at home wives/mothers. For those men who don’t want that type of relationship, work a normal salary, everyone wins and no one can complain. I know this will never happen but a girl can dream…
THIS. I was always bitter about this. You almost have to be on some kind of medication to make it work and keep you going. Even if you take children out of the equation, it's still the women that, after working all day, have to come home and clean the house, shop for the meal, cook it, clean the dishes, do the laundry, and try to find some "me" time in all of that. Now add children to the mix. Something's gotta give. (In my house, the housework suffered a hit. I am not superwoman. I cannot do it all. I refuse to be on medication to get the energy and will to get it done, and I refuse to enslave my children to do it because that's what my mother did to me).

Fix the economy so one parent can stay home and support their family and get the feminist ( not the same thing as empowering women and they just push becoming men instead)out of education. To be clear I am VERY traditional but also believe that mom may not always be the best to stay home personality matters. Additionally make adoption affordable and transparent so those who aren’t fertile ( especially given shot numbers) can raise children without it costing a fortune to adopt. When my boy is better and we recover financially I would love the chance to parent again. I am however first set on providing an opportunity to my children so they can have this opportunity
