This actually happened with the tolls on the Greater New Orleans bridge. Tolls paid for the bridge but they kept collecting tolls. Then a local attorney challenged that and won in court. Tolls got taken off....
When I grew up in Florida there was a toll bridge between the mainland and one of the barrier islands. They actually built a new bridge and ended the toll about 50 years ago. I don't know how long the toll bridge had been there, but they do end tolls for bridges after a time. I don't know about toll roads though :)
Just to clarify, WW1 never ended----we have been fighting the Deep State and the Fed for over a hundred years. I do believe we are about to see the end of that war real soon!
Same time a bunch of weird archaeology expeditions got funded and the story of ancient civilizations and technologies were erased.
Even domestically
The same for toll roads, end the tolls as soon as the road is paid for- never.

toll roads are cash cows for the states.

This is literally World War 1 cause all the rest were staged by the bankers!
"Two weeks to flatten the curve" comes to mind.
I hope Johnstown finally gets rebuilt so we can stop paying the Liquor Tax for Flood restoration from 1936.
Oh wait, Johnstown was fully rebuilt by 1940 thanks to the tax and is still a shithole but they never stopped collecting the tax
Good one. Pithy.
