I've kept up with this website periodically over the many years, I do not believe this to be a LARP. It's too lengthy and costly to keep this going, for such a minimal impact, unless you are looking for something.

Haunebu-Inspired Craft: Space Force Design Proposal Summary Prepared by SpaceLabs Advanced Research Division
This document provides an enhanced review and detailed design proposal for a Haunebu-inspired aerospace craft. The findings are based on the reverse-engineering analysis of the original crashed Haunebu recovered from classified incident sites. The objective is to present the United States Space Force with a next-generation aerospace platform capable of high-speed, high-maneuverability, and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) operations. This platform is designed for use in orbital deployment, deep-space reconnaissance, and rapid terrestrial response.

The name 1717-51 is interesting. We have two 17s and one 51. I'm assuming the 51 is due to the area 51 tech being used...the Haunebu Nazi UFOs.
This is a YUGE list of some of the tech we are getting, and these alone are game changers! Take a minute to soak this all in and let your brain wrap around the information provided, and what each one can be used for outside of this "Space Fighter Jet" or whatever you wanna call it.
Most of this is actually reasonable. Inside orbit and outside orbit require two different propulsion systems. I actually did a college paper on one of them a few decades ago.
Just imagine what else will/can be powered by the mini reactors, outside of whatever electrical tech we get from the Tesla files. To me, it sounds like we will be living in a modern day version of The Jetsons within the next 5-10 or so years, give or take a bit.
The Jetsons was my favorite cartoon growing up. I wanted a robot maid & flying car. Fast forward fifty+ years & I’m not wishing for either. I’m not afraid of modernizing technology as long as it’s by the good guys.
Will the robot maid make us do the housework? Resistance is futile. 🤔😮😂🤣
There are no good guys , only the less bad , FOR NOW. Even Trump just said , ' I don't trust anybody 100% '
well both are in the works as we speak, and I do believe it's the good guys who are in control. I'm leery, but excited at the same time. It never hurts to be cautious in the beginning.
I loved the Jetsons too, lol. Still waiting on the flying car 🙈
You may very well have it but you won’t be “flying” it. Most likely they will be offered as taxis that you can only ride in but they will be fully automated.
Automated driving cars are the first step in conditioning people to let go of control of their vehicle. Traffic in the air like traffic on the ground is not possible and airborne fender benders will carry far more lethality. Not just for the vehicle passengers either.
Best case scenario for actually flying your own flying car will be in designated recreational areas with heavy controls on entry and exiting them.
The challenge is funding. There is so much good tech locked up in small companies. Hardware is a much rougher path forward than software. We are always on the edge of success or extinction. And don’t get me started on big companies stepping in and stealing your contract and delivering less than crap that ends up in a trash compactor.
Once Trump gets manufacturing back to US soil (happening right now), and his tariff money hits...we are going to be sitting pretty in the near future. We will have a commodities backed dollar, Trump's been telling us what it'll be backed by:
In a nutshell, the US is going to have all the funding it needs, and I'm sure Trump already has something in place for it so it's streamlined as much as possible.
Backing it with multiple things is smart, future proofing, especially if space mining kicks off, stuff like gold/platinum, etc will become much less scarce and less excavating half a continent to get some.

^^ Working link here ^^
I worked on exactly that in the 1980s. The previous attempt was in the 1960s. Here's hoping that Space Force will get the go-ahead. I can only wonder who is competent to do this. All the capability at Boeing was flushed down the drain.
I've always liked the theory that JFK was killed also because he was about to spill the whole beans on "UFO Tech" and not just what we've heard. All of it leads back to the DS one way or another.
Not even a theory. Hardly a hypothesis. Definitely a children's story. On the same level as being killed because he swindled a Leprechaun. Can you say he didn't?
Fwiw, 51 has always equaled 17 x 3.
Just a coincidence😉
Yes,. Tesla Tech.. will finally be revealed— hopefully Free Energy Deployment,, as well
(The White Dove, Teslas hidden papers on Free energy, Flying Saucers & World Peace) - Trump was pictured holding the White Dove,.. Uncle John was the link)
The White Dove? New to me.
And Uncle John declared that Tesla's papers had nothing of scientific interest. End of myth.

Great links! I remember these whenever I was going down the Admiral Byrd and Wernher von Braun rabbit holes. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who's never been down this path before.
Think I should Hold off buying a 30K$ New Travel Trailer>??
You should come see me fellow Patriot! Close to Arkansas?
Sorry...I dwell behind Enemy Lines...In Commiefornia
How soon are you looking at buying?
Within the next month or so..So we can use it during the Summer Months. My Luck we buy it, and then be told we can teleport wherever we want..LOL
😆
LMAO, I'm also waiting on the personal flying hovercrafts...or whatever they'll be!
I don't know how long it'll be before we make the financial transition. It could be weeks, months, maybe even years, after the midterms. I do believe prices will greatly come down once the Tariff money and everything else kicks in, I just can't tell you when. My opinion, just live your life now. I held off my life mostly the last 8 years, and just recently decided to move on with things. It may be short term pain, but I can see what's to come in the near future too. That doesn't mean I'm going to be financially irresponsible right now either.
LOL...I hear ya BIG...All my decisions the last 8 years have been to Hurry up...or wait..Anyways..These little trailers cost about as much as the Avg car price these days..So I figured what the Hell..
Even though it's still an inflated price, I'd say fuck it and go enjoy yourselves. We've earned it honestly, even though we aren't through the suck.
Agreed!
It is fiction. It is not even substantial enough to be a LARP.
For openers, if you search on "1717-51" you get three references to it as a street address (1717 51st street) in Galveston TX, Sacramento CA, and Oklahoma City OK. If that isn't a bizarre coincidence, I don't know what is.
I had a problem seeing the original on their website, as though it was written in invisible ink. You could click on blank space and a letter would light up. The poster does us a favor by providing a transcript copy.
There is no provenance of authorship, either from Space Force or any contractor. The report is alleged to come from "SpaceLabs, Advanced Research Division," but that is not the way a true report is titled; there would be clear authorship, not an implied hearsay relationship. There is only one internet reference to "Spacelabs", and it does not seem quite the outfit that would perform this miracle of engineering. https://thespacelabs.com/ They do not appear to have an Advanced Research Division. A real report would have tangible numbers (dimensions, weights, volumes, etc.) defining the design, its requirements, and performance.
There is no "original crashed Haunebu" flying saucer. This s a contemporary household myth of "lost Nazi science," modeled after the infamous George Adamski hoax flying saucer---which was ultimately discovered to be cribbed from the design of a lamp for a chicken brooder. This design heritage also appears in the 1967-1968 TV drama program, "The Invaders," with Roy Thinnes. (A pretty good program, for what it was.)
Everything cited comes from a gloss of contemporary and postulated technology, without any regard for the actual performance limitations and technical (and weight) requirements. Details like "structural integrity" etc. are thrown around like confetti without any specifics. It takes immense electric currents to make plasma from ambient air at ambient pressures, which require heavy electrical power generation equipment, and the power must come from some source. It references a "fusion reactor," but we do not yet have a working fusion reactor after over 70 years of government research (which are forecast for large terrestrial powerplants). "Cryogenic cooling" is cited for superconductive systems, which means either a formidable refrigerator system or fairly large reserves of liquid helium which would have to be expelled as gas once the heat has been absorbed. (I once was involved in the schematic design of a multimegawatt electric discharge laser weapon, and it required huge tanks of ethane coolant for only hundreds of seconds of operation.)
It would be pointless to go over each design feature in detail, since it is all nonsense salad. Just throw in all of your favorite technologies, wave a wand over it to guarantee it will work, and call it good. There is no scaled diagram, no schematic, no weight budget, no power budget, no thermal rejection budget, no mention of how any pilot could survive maneuvers at unstated acceleration levels.
It is somebody's wet dream of what they imagine could be possible, when they don't know anything about the cited technology or aerospace engineering.
I wait for the Super Bowl flyover some day where something like this floats over in formation, stops mid-air hovering, then blinks out… 😜
Re-entry temperature issues basically go away once you have UFO type antigravity propulsion. With current technology the reason re-entry gets so hot is because orbital speeds by definition are extremely fast - International Space Station speed for example is 17,700 MPH. Any slower and things start falling out of orbit, any faster and they are orbiting farther out. Speed determines orbital altitude. So re-entry requires slowing down to fall back into the atmosphere, but nothing carries enough fuel to slow down to zero so once the atmosphere gets thick enough regular old friction starts heating up the descending spacecraft (or metor etc) until it has slowed down to its terminal velocity.
UFOs that can hover can simply enter the atmosphere at a relative stop and manage temperature with throttle alone.
Mostly correct. It is actually the case that the higher the orbit, the slower the speed in that orbit. But you need higher initial speeds to reach that altitude.
I wonder if it's more for planets that have extreme temps?
Like Mercury? The temperatures would still destroy everything else internally so aerogel doesn't really matter at that point. Aerogel does exactly what it says there - it just doesn't make any sense in the scifi context of the rest where you can actually choose your reentry speed and aren't forced into it by the delta v physics of orbital mechanics and rocket fuel weight.
Everything you say makes sense. What about MIL operations? That would make sense if they've need a rapid entry into orbit if they were in the middle of a dogfight, or operation. Or, it's at least a scenario I can think of where it can be useful.
Acceleration into orbit heats up a little but is nowhere near the speeds something like a space shuttle is at when descending. And if you had a UFO type drive you could choose whatever speed - the scifi concept of a "Space Elevator" works like this, where you can effectively just stand on an elevator and go to orbit, so temperatures are removed from the entire discussion.
Interesting! Thank you for sharing! There is another property of aerogel that I may remember...isn't it hydrophobic? Could that be it's "use"?
I don't think moisture is much of an issue, but in the general scifi context of above, while it isn't all that useful for reentry it would probably be amazing as a sort of armor against directed energy weapons like lasers or plasma etc as those all work by rapidly heating the target.
That would be interesting, and every more fun to test out haha. I can only imagine, one day, we look up and see literal Star Wars/Star Trek flying above us.
Aliens who keep crashing here seem to think we have the extreme atmosphere.
