But the Coca leaves are still in there and as a matter of fact Coca-Cola remains the only legal importer of the leaves for the express purpose of retaining the distinct "flavor" of Coca-Cola; they strip out the cocaine and give it to the government who shares some with the pharmaceutical industry and then "destroys" the rest aka gives it to the CIA to sell on the streets all over the world...
They still make it with coca leaf today. They use what is left after processing it to make pharmaceutical cocaine.
i tried to drink one last week, it was from a glass bottle so i thought it would be decent. got halfway through it before i realized it was making me feel like dogshit

0 Sugar has been the main push for all beverage markets hurting from the overly toxic cola trend crash.
Likely it uses some artificial sweetener as bad as aspartame but tastes almost normal.
If you notice all brands have shifted to a BLACK look in their uniforms, logos, etc. Pepsi got rid of the crisp white font and went black etc.
This is why markets have shifted towards high end waters, lifestyle drinks, sports drinks and other rebranded energy drinks.
I used to drink a 12 pack a day.

Anyways the stuff just tastes like syrup to me now. There's nothing enjoyable about it. I can't even use sugar at home any more. Raw honey is the best I can do.
My health massively improved from this change. Teeth are still fucked but at least everything else is way better now.
I contacted them and asked about a real sugar drink with just LESS sugar. They said it was their most requested.

Coca-cola makes and sells a product, hundreds of them in fact. It makes money selling products people want to buy. It is not Coca-cola's fault that people on food stamp choose to buy these products with their subsidies. It is CONGRESS's fault for allowing them to do so. Congress could step in right now today and pass a bill that stipulated that SNAP benefits and EBT cannot be used to purchase certain items. They could ban sodas right now today. Hell, they could make it illegal to buy steak and lobster with those benis too.

So I’d say there’s likely quite a few companies on the take. Because they’d likely collapse or at the very least have to slash their sizes to remain solvent.

Yeah I read a similar thing by a former PMC operative about how Coca Cola has these insane distribution networks which is why you’ll find their product even in war zones and tiny little African villages high in the mountains of Ethiopia.

This is disingenuous. People are spending their food benefit money on coke and Pepsi. That's not a government subsidy. That's people being stupid. There is an argument to be made that these should not be purchasable on snap and related benefits, but it's not a subsidy.
This is the same as stupid people going "herf, the government subsidizes oil companies by letting them depreciate assets like every other company" that ran around during Obama's time.
