Def Sec / Chairman during their press briefing specifically mentioned that as far as they know there were were no shots fired at the package either on the way to the mission or on the way out of the mission.
It also fits perfectly with stealth characteristics. The point of stealth is not to make the aircraft categorically invisible. It is to reduce its signature to the point of being undetectable until it is at short range. And then to prevent any fire control system, operating at shorter wavelengths, from being able to pick up their signature.
Trump posted a Truth several days / week ago saying that they / we have "total control of the skies over Iran"
To me, that would mean that We took out their ability to see, hear, and certainly launch anything at the B-2's we were planning on sending in.
Which makes sense; AFAIK, that's exactly how it's supposed to work; take out the enemies radar / defensive / offensive measures BEFORE you send your big, expensive, slow & less maneuverable bombers in to do the heavy destruction.
To put it another way; I can't imagine a scenario where we'd send our B-2's into even SLIGHTLY contested airspace. Not worth the risk.
Actual quote:
“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”
What has stealth got to do with that? No surprise that "retaliatory actions" did not occur before the bombing. And no surprise that the Iranian command-and-control system is probably severely damaged, hindering any damage assessment, deliberation over what to do, and execution of any plan. There is such a thing as a response time loop (Col. John Boyd's OODA Loop).
My understanding is that Israel cleared the way, the bombers took a route that was already cleared by Israeli Forces. The entire operation was coordinated with Netanyahu.
Narratives, narratives, narratives. The only accurate analysis is to assume everyone is lying. Did you see it happen? No? Then it didnt happen or it was staged.
It's a case of "So what?" If you can't pick them up on radar or establish a firing solution, it makes no difference. The transponder position error & interval is not good enough for target engagement. It's not clear if they shut down the transponder return for the actual target run and resumed it afterward.
as I guessed and hoped they arranged the attack with opposing force, in a way
Where to hit you to satisfy our war hawks and their dancing I monkeys then they are out of any more options. War over Iran can build whatever it wants.
I watched the video of the explosion’s of the “attack”, my take away is that it looks like an oil or gasoline fire in the distance, not an underground strike. What was burning? Was the mountain on fire? Such an attack should have produced dust and maybe some debris and most of the fireworks would have been 90ft underground. Impressive looking from a distance but not the type of aftermath you would expect.

Does it fit the fact that even after the bombing, and on the way back from the mission there was still no retaliatory actions ?

You have to ask the guy who wrote “ It also fits perfectly with stealth characteristics”

But as the OP noted, the bombers flew with their transponders ON.
