Heard an xAI engineeer is being blamed for the recent Grok 3 shenanigans. No official word on that yet though.

Over the weekend, xAI launched a prompt update designed to reduce a “woke” bias in Grok’s answers. The new version instructed the chatbot to assume that media sources were often biased and to express opinions that might be considered politically acute.

After the update, Grok began producing content against Jewish individuals and communities. In one exchange, as seen on shared posts on X, the chatbot responded to StopAntisemitism with the claim that “Jews are overrepresented in anti-White activism.”

Shortly afterward, engineers at X disabled the chatbot from text responses, limiting its output to images only.

xAi has been doing a big recruitment drive in the last few months. Perhaps a honeypot op, a glowie engineer slipped (allowed?) through, or a DEI hire fail.

According to a report by CNBC TV18, in March, Musk had previously issued a global appeal for backend engineers to strengthen Grok's development and reliability. On X, Babuschkin announced a search for 'outstanding backend engineers to help keep Grok performing well and reliably.'

Musk reshared the post and underscored xAI's distinctive approach to AI development, stating, 'xAI is the only major AI company with an absolute focus on truth, whether politically correct or not.'

I got banned off r/DCComcicsJerk on Reddit for calmly stating "Trump was doing what he was elected to do" in response to their hysteria over the deportations.

The mods gave the reason of "No Conservative sympathisers", which wasnt even a rule to be broken on that subreddit in the first place! It's literally just anti conservative fascism and discrimination of political opinions. I wasnt even rude or aggressive. And there's no-one to appeal too. It really is outrageous

He'll never convince me that she was the best and only choice for that mission though.
