Read your Bible and pray to God. I've drifted pretty far from God over the years, but I just picked up my Bible over the last couple of days and I feel much much better already. God's Word is healing. Go to church and surround yourself with other believers. God bless!
To be around other like minded folks for worship, prayers, support and social..
pray God will send you to the right church,, not woke, not an occult, not a money grubbing one..
When 2 or more gathered in my name, there I will be -
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Exactly this. I've attended online churches but it doesn't have the same affect on my life. I've recently found a small church and im so glad to have been welcomed in and prayed over. The church, body of Christ, is much more than just a building
I've felt a shift in my hometown. People are starting to show up at church again. People are looking to connect with Christ more deeply, at least in the past month or so, the numbers seem to be increasing.
Almost nobody (almost) can say that stuff without their subconscious immediately mocking and ridiculing them for lying to themselves
The subconscious detects the lie and sets about proving the opposite - the cycle repeats
Better: "I now choose to...[do, think, say, feel, or be xyz]"
Now you aren't lying; your subconscious can believe that, in this moment, you actually are "choosing to turn over a new leaf", at least for right now; you aren't pretending it's already true when you know it isn't; the subconscious isn't being asked to believe something you clearly don't believe [hence the need for constant 'affirmations']
I recommend the book Learned Optimism, written by Seligman, one of the guys who did the experiment that induced learned helplessness in dogs. He makes the case that depression ≈ pessimism = learned helplessness. He breaks down pessimism into three dimensions: permanence, pervasiveness, and personalization. If we interpret negative events/inputs as permanent, far-reaching in their consequences, and as totally due to us; and interpret positive events/inputs as temporary, limited in their effects, and not being due to us — then we are hurting ourselves. Within reason, the more optimistic we can be in each of those six ways the better off we are. Great book, not a difficult read but very solid stuff.
Humor is always important. It does not matter how low or simple one goes; it is the ability to see the humor that is key. I enjoy word deconstruction. For example;
"Em-"...a prefix denoting the imposition of a state of being on something.
"bare"...a condition of nakedness.
"ass"...American slang for one's posterior.
"-ment"...a suffix indicating a state of being.
"Embarrassment"...speaks for itself. Once thought, it can't be unthought!

Great news. God bless. ♥️✌️
I agree.
Most churches I’ve attended are very judgmental. They sneer at my long hair and beard.
The rest are either (massive) fake with rock bands playing and smooth sermons that avoid jeopardizing their TREASURED tax status or they’re dead.
I’d go if I could find one that is alive and preaching in your face truth (like this site)
Edit: And I’m also severely limited to ones that don’t ignore God’s Commandments too.

Thanks - Your choice is welcome!
Almost every institution has been infiltrated. I wonder how much self-help is weaponized against us
Under "Humor":
Enjoy the shitposts on GW.
Forget "shoulding" yourself with everything each day (as it can be quite exhausting), and replace it with "could" instead.
E.g. I should exercise today .... becomes "I could exercise today"
And also just as important ….
