The REAL TRUTH is that doctors aren't making any money because if the insurance companies. So don't be fooled...
This is why finding a doctor in a private practice not pimped out by a large hospital conglomerate is ultra rare. It's the insurance costs (malpractice) in a litigious society, coupled with dei doctors that did them in.
The fact that we're hearing terms like "subscription" and "package" regarding tending to our health, I find obnoxious.
Why? Because I remember the days when seeing the doctor was a rare occurrence and when you did, you weren't shuffled around to one "specialist" AKA pimp to another and nickel and dimed to death. You pulled out cash, the bill was reasonable, and that was the end of it.
I met a doctor a few months back who had to close his practice because the insurance reimbursements were lower than it cost him to see the patient (building rent, nurse, person on staff to deal with the insurance). After talking to him, I understood why the doctors were so desperate to take advantage of big pharmaceutical "perks," like the payouts for vaccines, because of the low insurance pay outs, they desperately needed that extra money to keep the doors open.
Concierge doctor (subscription) + HSA maxout (like an IRA) + catastrophic only health insurance; This combo worked from 2001-2012, and then Obama intentionally "outlawed" catastrophic only health insurance (it was around $50-100/mo total). It has now revived itself as "high deductible, stripped down insurance" and may soon be "catastrophic only" once again. There is also "hospital stay only" insurance which can also accomplish the counter against poverty-inducing hospital service billing fraud. You can also negotiate smaller service bills, but that takes lots of time and effort.
Accident insurance can also fill in the gap and HSA funds can now be used for preventatives such as supplements, gym memberships, and other health activities. But new HSA contributions are only possible if you are not now EXEMPT from payroll taxes (one minor downside to defeating the IRS six times and figuring out their fraud scheme).
The REAL TRUTH is that doctors aren't making any money because if the insurance companies.
Also one of the reasons why tort reform never gained any traction. The lawyers and the insurance companies don't benefit from it. Smaller practices could self insure if they knew they weren't going to be held liable and dragged into court for every perceived miss-step.
REAL REFORM: remove all middlemen to restore cost/price transparency AND decentralize by removing ALL state CORP nonlaw administrative rules intentionally being used to harass small business and middle class, including small practices of physicians (a second form of "middleman").
I like that. I would also add some sort of public efficacy measurement. Good doctors get good reviews, bad doctors get exposed. The only filter I would add to that is confirmation of complaints and consequences for slander. We all know the woke crowd is going to go after anyone with a moral code or standards.
It's the insurance costs (malpractice) in a litigious society, coupled with dei doctors that did them in.
Did “we” actually get litigious or was that an op, too, target independent doctors to force everyone into networks run by insurance, which are mostly parent-companied by banks.
Doctors don’t get it or take it, they get sued by plants.
Patients don’t get it or take it, they can’t afford the costs being pushed out by networks.
What does the “insurance” actually pay? Here’s your bill.
What funded the massive uptick in lawyers being everywhere back in the .. how far back did that push start? There were definitely big moves in the 80’s.
Pretty sure that is what happened and was intentional and planned to capture market share and control. Dunno how it’d be proven, but if I had access to the unlimited money spigot and was an evil bastard, those would be parts of my strategy.
Is this like Concierge doctors? Maybe same concept.
My dentist now takes no insurance. Offers several plans.
I switched dentists, though. . Only go q 3-5 years as my teeth dont grow shit on them. Never have. Super enymes!
4 cleanings in 17 yrs. No plaque or calculus. They hate me.
Tampa, Florida. They brought in a bunch of Cuban cigar rollers and their families. The man I knew had, as one of his weekly chores as a kid, going and paying for their medical.
Most doctors have sold out their practices to medical groups because of the price of their liability insurance. Now trace who owns these groups and you will find the insurance companies along with Big Pharma own them all and the doctors work for them now.
One thing I wish we did a lot more of on this board was organized, high focus collaborative dig threads that were tracked for longer than a day instead of following with the “24” hour news cycle.
I kindasorta tried to get some PM software running with slechta last year to help with this after seeing those phenomenal digs by that one poster (stav888) who showed up with his mapping tool (thebrain), but most likely it would all need to stay on-board, say via a stickied post where there is no discussion, just links off to research threads that anyone is participating in.
One of the better efforts I’ve seen on-board in this direction was winn’s immigration thread. (https://greatawakening.win/p/17sOZcZqQr/x/c/4Z8inFV3HFM) Of course there have been a ton of great individual digs as well, but I’m referring to collaborative ones, where one comment prompts another thing to look at, others jump in, and the whole thing gets tracked and indexed and summarized.
That’d be great! If we can get them going, a thread with focused digs would be good, and a thread per dig. Will alert if anything moves that could be relevant. Thanks!
Many of us support "longterm sticky" approach for one or two topics at a time that Mods select at their discretion. We will drop comments, supplements, and crosslinks in as we have time. Kudos to mods for repeated CODEX 9-11 stickies; that one should stay up until 9-12 or 9-17, imo.
Not only the genera speed, but then stuff happens like that insane 5 HOUR long podcast that seemed to have a ton of (valid??) receipts and undercut the whole nature of the Epstein stuff, which I’ve been following for like 17 years now.
I don’t have any idea what to make of all this crap.
You and me are da back o da bus so to speak. We see everything happening right in front of us and all we can do is think what’s next! I do admit that after 7 years I am happy to see all this coming to a head.
I am reconsidering one to get away from my current drug pushing doctor. I am going to hunt for a functional medicine doctor. Problem for me is I am in a very rural area and need to look for one an hour or two away. Also I am on Medicare and a Supplemental
An hour or two away? Are you European? I've had 2 hour comutes to work (and then 2 hours back) daily. This wasn't a rural area. Rural areas I've been in EVERYTHING is far away but pasture and fields.
How often do you see the Dr.? Can you co-ordinate trips with friends?
I have to drive one hour and a half to go to my holistic doctor. He lives 15 minutes from me but the former AG kicked him out so he needs to practice out of state.
Another scam, I am just tired of their craps. They know they are screwed for what they did to us. They are broke and their system is go with them. Liars.
Once you learn the fact that most doctors are willing to let you be poisoned so they can get a kick back, do you really want to screw around with them at all?
My doctor only take cash. One hundred dollar per hour. I asked about the Covid vaccine when I met him. This is what he said, "Are you a Democrat? If you are, I would recommend you take all your scheduled vaccines. If not, then don't."
My doc is very very good. He helped me to keep my dog, 19, and able to go for 3 miles per hour today. He diagnosed the pup's problem for me 8 months ago and now, this damn dog is going faster than me.
I thought he was going to die soon. Doc was able to find the problem, prescribed the meds.
I trust him 100 percent. Sorry you are that far away.
I mean on one hand this is great...
The REAL TRUTH is that doctors aren't making any money because if the insurance companies. So don't be fooled...

Similar tactic, but to push a different “product”.
Problem reaction solution.
They probably had 70+% of this crap wargamed out 100 years ago.
The pimps make WAY more than the hookers...
Insurance companies make WAY more than the doctors...
Echo....echo ....echo....

Obama - you can keep your doctor - as long as you can afford it, and they play along with big pharma
My holistic doctor does cash only. One hundred dollar for 1 hour. He is super busy.

Dunno fren...
"Alls" I know is... I'm "sick" of the medical industrial complex and everything that goes along with it.

My husband’s the same way. You lucky frog! Kek.
I think that is similar to Concierge but it also might be coop.
Im blessed that way too.
What are super enymes?
Salivary amylase is one. There are more oral enzymes. I'm super immune to zoster, as well.
Just luck of the draw.
Ybor City. Cuban cigar makers. I knew a man who grew up with this system.
I've watched the Cuban ladies hand roll cigars there, then bought and smoked one made just for me.
I would love to go back and get another.
near Tampa.
You live there?
used to.
Is that California. I know of a lot of Concierge Doctors in CA.
Tampa, Florida. They brought in a bunch of Cuban cigar rollers and their families. The man I knew had, as one of his weekly chores as a kid, going and paying for their medical.

Happy to co-ordinate for a long term sticky if such a dig is started. We can also institute a "Only dig no side comments" policy on these threads.
That’d be great! If we can get them going, a thread with focused digs would be good, and a thread per dig. Will alert if anything moves that could be relevant. Thanks!

Would be nice but things are moving so fast at the moment I can’t keep up. Kek

Too far.

Hahaha, that's great, I would keep that doctor forever!
Yeah. I have a truly good doc.
He taking new clients?
I think so. Are you close by Texarkana, TX?
"New clients" was my (unspoken) question, too.
I'm 1,000 miles away! 😭😭😭
