Hi frens,
Current pediatrician (in Massachusetts) requires all patients to follow the CDC vaccine schedule, no refusing/altering, or you're out of the practice. It seems like virtually all pediatricians are this way near me.
I need a doctor who can do the following:
- Not require vaccines (They're ALL poison. Every. Single. One.)
- Do wellness checks on my children at milestones to make sure my little ones are healthy (normal Pediatric stuff)
- Licensed to be able to give referrals
- Licensed to be able to order prescriptions (like if we antibiotics for strep/ear infections/etc)
- Takes my company's insurance
My children are 1 and 2, any advice would be much appreciated. Any other MA pedes with experience around here?
Thanks!
Edit: Thank you all for your helpful suggestions, my wife and I appreciate you all! We're going to consider a family physician, and realize that one covered by insurance is likely not going to happen.
Freedom isn't Free, right?? :)
As for medicine / home remedies, does anyone have any recommendations for kits that cover the most important stuff to have on-hand in case our little ones do come down with an illness?
Thanks again!
I'm in Massachusetts on the North Shore. You may be better off with a family physician instead of a pediatrician.
Look into alternative medicine practitioners if available. Learn all you can about alternative cures and remedies.
Most wellness checks are not needed. They are pretty much scheduled for the purpose of giving the vaccines.
Insurance is nice but consider paying out-of-pocket if the need arises. It'll be worth it.
Children who are not vaxed are often just plain healthier. Mine didn't have ear infections or any allergies. The only time they needed a doctor was for first-aid. (Tho every time I brought one in to a ER, the first question they asked was if they were up-to-date on their vaccines. Yes. (Zero is as "up-to-date" as they needed.)
Not in MA myself, but are you familiar with urgent care facilities? I'm in AZ and we have this place: https://www.bannerhealth.com/. Doesn't look like they have MA locations but I'm sure MA would have a similar type place.
Urgent Care facilities typically don't ask or even do vaxxxes. They do general check-ups, sports physicals, test for viruses, muscle pains, etc. Very much general practitioners and they are affordable and fast. Usually able to see you same day or within 24 hours. Find an "urgent care" type place in MA. I suspect there are some and they would probably work but not sure they see kids that young. I know I took my boy when he was like 5yo and they were OK with it.
Also, do you know a good lawyer? Seems like a sue-able offense to FORCE customers/patients to be vaxxxed. No religious or personal exemptions allowed? If you can find an urgent care, I'd highly recommend you get every other customer out of that pediatric practice. Let's see how those mandates work once they lose a significant amount of customers.
No experience with MA laws, but I would look into if the stated health department issues religious vaccine exceptions. Our pediatricians in our area all required vax but with the exemption we are not pressed or denied service. The pediatrician office most likely has that rule to cover them from losing license to practice. I would look into that first.
Vaxxines are also a money maker for the practice.
You’re probably gonna have to do business with a homeopathic clinic in which case you’ll have to pay cash up front for all services. I just got an exemption form my son in Illinois and it was a super easy process, but yes, they require payment up front.
we use Patriot Direct for health care as a family without health insurance. rates are very much lower than what the insurance companies are charged
my wife has a pediatrician that does the wellness checks/ physicals of our 3 kids and they love our kids and know we don't/didn't vax. not sure they would like to be advertised as doing so here though and not sure if my wife snuck in the door with them from before covid (kids are 9, 8 and 4 now). if there's a way to DM me I might be able to relay the doctors office. office is located near to Rt 90 & 95 intersection
we gave up on notion of health insurance after much consideration and not because we can't afford it
It's not that black and white and your suggestion is slightly off the curve. This mother is asking for help.
Every civilization and culture has had and does have doctors or whatever they may call them, and none are perfect.
I hate the medical system, yet have been helped. I'm not blind and should be. Have a new shoulder and am back with a vengence. Has 2 inguinal hernias and no, im not a tub of lard, but i'm glad i had anesthesia, a surgeon and Percocet. A lot of them.
Was deep in as a doctored medical professional x 30+ years. It's not 100% taboo to seek medical help; i have super intelligent, honest and non-controlled free-thinking physicians, pharmacists and allied heath care friends. None of them did the covid dance, nor kow-tow to the AMA, etc .
We live in a fallen world, and it's full of all kinds of sicknesses. Give mom a break, fren.
Well if I am so insensitive then private contact her and talk to her/ him on the phone.
You have read me wrong. I am seriously fed up with these evil medical people and I don't want these two kids to end up with needless shots.
All too often mothers capitulate and give in to doctors.
I’d echo what others have said. Have you avoided vaxxes for them so far?
Urgent cares, GP, telehealth through your insurance as needed. Amazon has a telehealth thing, too, for thinks like pinkeye and such that are easily diagnosed virtually.
If the kiddos are healthy, consider these alternatives for only going as the need arises. It’s true, the “well baby” visits are for vax and then they drop off…mysteriously.
Use earthclinic.com or search/ask this board for home remedies, too. Ear infection is common, and I have had great success using a steamed onion poultice and onion juice. Barbara O’Neill has a video explaining. Simple, cheap, better than antibiotics that destroy the gut microbiome.
Pediatricians are out of the question. All of them are sucked into following the guidelines. When I was a kid we didn't have a pediatrician. We went to see the family physician like everyone else. That may be where you start. In addition, if you are seeking insurance coverage for visits that is going to limit your choices. Someone outside of insurance networks is more likely to give you what you are looking for because they don't have to take orders from the bean counters. But, you will pay out of pocket for their services. I know alternative MDs that see kids as young as 2.
Obama Care really put the kibosh on the flexibility of providers to run their practices and many retired because of it. Besides, finding an independent provider nowadays has become a rare sight. They are just about all corporate structures - meaning providers must follow orders. FYI - Wellness checks are for the purposes of giving jabs. Good luck.
