It gets difficult when you are with God, my life is very very difficult and has been since I was a little girl. I believe I was chosen by God. I have never had a house, family, always poor and struggling, I have disabilities and sick too. I am not complaining just want you to know it is always like this, but you know God, Jesus and angels are with you every moment which he is the most important part of our lives.
Remember that part of the bible where God says that he will never give you more than you can handle? Based on your post, it is abundantly clear to me that the God that created the entire universe and everything in it thinks that you're a bad ass. The world would do well to be more like you. Life gets more difficult as your soul is being sifted..to reveal the treasures that are hidden around the dead things we grew in the years our soul waded in death.
Death to life is not just something we read in scripture from Jesus but an actual experience we go through. The death and birth ..the burning away of everything that holds us back from understanding the true grace and love found in God and His cross. We die in this life but our spirit is renewed over and over because of the new life that is now within you through His blood. It is painful. But it's also the most beautiful thing, because there is nothing more beautiful than the cross. Our inner death will mirror a life around us as dying. Let go of whatever is death around you.
Also ask for discernment over spirits and generational curses, and those around you. The ability to see the "why" around you will be encouraging and ignite trust in you're new relationship with God.
God bless you and do not forsake the grace that washes us clean everyday. That is our strength.

The Holy Spirit will tap tap tap on that shoulder, because you have this relationship now with Jesus. One to one. So talking freely goes both ways. I don't think that anyone is born believing in Jesus and for the most part, the church offers a poor representation of what God wanted for us. You've been hanging out with the rest of us in this pond for 5 years now. You know that none of us are trying to sell you anything. Maybe, just maybe, God is talking to you and you're just not listening. I can be a real prick so I find it hard to believe that God would rather talk to me than you.

Its a mix of a few things (from my experience), yes the enemy will tempt and try to get you away from God, but there are also things He allows us to go through to grow, its not Him doing it but if there is pressure and heat, you are being refined like silver till you can reflect His image better. Even with all that. The work, while looking like a lot is lighter because we can ask for His strength through hard times. His yoke is lighter.
