Trump is probably going to 'debundle' / 'break up' the unified general / federal election from the state elections and have their own "Federal race" ballots
So when you go to vote, you'll get two ballots instead of one. A federal election which would be President / VP, as well as US Reps and US Senators
A state election would be state legislature, governor, judges where applicable, and lots of other local and state elections like comptroller, sheriff and such
This would be the suggestion I sent to Trump via the white house contact form many years ago. Just unbundle and then make the FEC federal election commission actually DO SOMETHING instead of collecting checks and not really doing ANYTHING
He could theoretically have Coast Guard or Space Force run the elections in the states

Mail in ballots are not the same as absentee ballots. Absentee ballots have your name on them, because you have to request them ahead of time by your election board. Mail ins are generic blank ballots that are filled out by anyone, like your dog or your illegal alien neighbors, and treated as real
