It'd be easier to list 5 states most likely to survive, Texas, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and Alaska. I'm a Colorado native (Commiefornia 2.0). I'll be hiking to Wyoming in a SHTF situation.
It's all relative, I think, and property prices seem to ebb and flow. Right now this is such a "hot property" area because of all the manufacturing and high-tech businesses that are going in here, drawing lots of people here for jobs and a good life... low taxes, more civilized than our large American cities now, agreeable climate, business-friendly government.
In the past two years we have made friends with several northern transplants down here; one a small family from Long Island, NY, and a retired couple from Chicago. We've been "discovered" and it's changing the character of Knox County quite a bit.
Still, it's a good place to live. Just yesterday I went to a local gun show and walked away with an AK-47 and a little Rossi survival rifle. No hassle, no government involved, just bang, paid cash and took them home.
Your buddy Dan and Sandy were sending me feeds and all the sudden they stopped and I contacted them for months telling them I wasn't getting them anymore. After a three or four times of asking I quit asking and started researching on my I don't know what the problem was.
I was pre-approved for a mortgage and everything there.
Upstate is armed, and when winter hits frozen zombies are target practice.
California is just plain screwed. Drive north hoping for the same thing and you'll just find some Democrat already set the state on fire. Welcome to hell, lots of undead & fire everywhere.
Luckily my hometown, St. John's, Newfoundland ranks most likely to survive the Canadian version of the zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately for Canucks looking for somewhere to flee, WE ARE FULL. Sorry.
Pennsylvania only in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Erie, Scranton, Harrisburg and probably Allentown. The rest of us are well armed and are stocked and ready to rock and roll!
As a native Californian, IMHO We've been living in a liberal Zombie apocalypse for at least the last 12 years.

This is true.
Heh, east Tennessee will do just fine.
I tried to get out of here but the prices down there went way too high.

The problem is if I sell my home and take all the money in the bank to buy a $300,000 mobile home in Tennessee is insane.
Unless the prices become more in reason I'm going to have to rough it out here.
This is extremely heartbreaking for me.
Understood, but keep an eye on the market here, things do change over time.
Also, you might look in some of the smaller towns around here to see if prices drop with distance from Knoxville.
I have been looking for 2 years.

Sandy's father was very ill and he passed away recently. Dan has been having health issues... but they are still doing real estate.
Thank you.
Yeah really...
$750k for a "barndominium" on 1 acre? LO-fkin-L in TN.
Nah ... I'll pass...
I know.
It went crazy there.
I went to TN a few years ago to see the areas we would like to live.
Then it just went crazy.
I refuse to sell my brick home fully renovated and buy a double wide mobile home for more than my home. It would wipe out our savings.
Florida was another option but home owners insurance is 5000k or more a year.
Really must add Washington and Oregon currently choking on their own coastal city rot
Yes.
For a brief period during COVID I thought the zombie apocolypse would be when the vaxxed were told unvaxxed brains are the cure.
Kek.
East of I81 is toast. The Appalachians should help save the Western side of the state though.
I know my family will.
If zombies eat brains, their kinda' screwed in those states.
Sadly you are correct.
Then please, send in the zombies ASAP.....
Please I live in one of these.
My condolences....
Thank you.
NJ here, we’ll survive. We have a boat.
Excellent.
... and shooty kablooty...
Which we may have indeed lost while on that boat...
Most have NO CLUE how much firepower lurks round these parts ...
GOOD!

Thanks Commie Shapiro.
It depends on what part of New York.

I think it's a big city thing rather than a state thing. If it weren't for the big cities, Democrat Senators may not get elected in any state.
If it weren't for voter fraud*
Yes.
Look at the voting records for these states. Zombie apocalypse happened years ago.
In PA it is fraud.
Libs would immediately demand protection from maga.
You are correct.
PA same way.
Stupid Shitzburgh and Filthadelphia.
Not to mention the Union stronghold and cheating.
Connecticut and coming to grips with being fucked in the zombie apocalypse. The level of TDS still here is astounding.
Same in parts of PA.

Stay safe Fren.

We are too.
We keep hearing people on food stamps won't survive a democrat created shutdown. How will they survive a zombie apocalypse?
They won't.
