Wow...I hadn't gotten that far in the article. Just verified in a couple of places and then shared. This judgement may now shut up our stupid AG in Michigan. She was crowing about how "she" defeated Trump.
Make the states use their funding and once it’s gone, submit for reimbursements. That’s how it’s supposed to work. The states have their funding for SNAP in their treasury.
I SOOO disagree with this. What's it going to take to make this illegal - one district judge in yankee land just decided? - he damn sure doesn't represent the rest of the entire country. Will it take a law passed by Congress to make this type ruling illegal?
The problem is that a single district judge thinks they have the right to dictate to the president what they MUST do. "MUST" pay SNAP. In this instance, the judge told the admin to pull $5 billion from the school lunch program to fund SNAP. So, children can go without lunch so lazy ass adults can continue grifting?
Similar to the judge that just decided to permanently block the admin from sending NG to Oregon. YOU don't see the problem here?
It shouldn't need to go to SCOTUS in the first place. Judges are seriously overreaching. You didn't learn about the separation of powers and the constitution in school?
Yes, but she invoked it PERMANENTLY - like the president can NEVER EVER AGAIN deploy troops there.
I thought Trump was the dictator. Apparently, she is the dictator for Oregon. That's what really gets my BP going. Exactly WTF does she think she is? The president maintains national security. Damn sure isn't a judge. The GALL, the AUDACITY to decide she alone can permanently block a president from deploying troops for national security. That is so far out the judicial branch's wheelhouse, it isn't funny. Yet Trump is the dictator?
Kind of hard to make payments from money that doesn't exist. Not without opening up the offices that would be be needed to deal with the Fed Reserve. Also, Congress holds Power of The Purse, and since they're in shutdown mode...
No, they didn't side with Trump. They sided with Democrats in Congress who voted NOT to fund SNAP. Hence, it would be illegal to force the President to do so.
Lower courts "ordering" the President to do literally and completely ANYTHNG is a modern-day gaslighting of epic proportions. They can't. Not ever. I'm going with the stupidity of the assertion being one of the more ridiculous parts of this movie.
I’m pretty sure this morning I heard the fake news reporting that the DEI Supreme Court justice Kejenga Brown blocked it. Did she reblock it? If so that’s friggin crazy.
OMG!!! I have NEVER had a stickied post before. So exciting...😁
You did good kid. Real good.
User name does not check out.
You are a team player now.
🤣Thanks!
CONGRATULATIONS!! ✨👏
Kudos, fren!
❤️
I have a stickied post right now too. It's quite a kick.
Congratulations.
It was even Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson that issued the stay.

That trio of evil witches running the show there are turning the once great state of Michigan into California lickety-split.
They are the worst. Kind of expecting Benson to win as Governor, since she is overseeing her own election. A lot like the Hobbs debacle in AZ.
Right there with ya fren ! Those three biatches have ruined our great state.
Lol Reddit WAS celebrating earlier before this.
I commented that scotus will allow Trump to move forward and I got massively downvoted.
Cool, now everyone has you on their hard drive!
Reddits are nuts. After you get massively downvoted, you are totally sidelined and don’t have karma to participate. Ask me how I know.
Man, don't you just hate when you're massively downloaded? 😢

Our towns in Wyoming are stocking up food to give to the poor. The governor has given money to the charities and churches.
Yes, FEED the hungry! Do not fling cash around that can be diverted.
Yep, and States that are known to have illegal recipients...DENIED!

My blood pressure is up.
They need some kind of consequences for the bullshit
I am confused. SCOTUS sided with Trump on this one. What's the problem?
I think what they mean is it shouldn't have to come down to SCOTUS unblocking what some random nobody state judge blocked in the first place.

A single judge, again, ruled that Trump couldn't use the NG in Portland. I thought SC already ruled on this, but for another city.
Yes, but she invoked it PERMANENTLY - like the president can NEVER EVER AGAIN deploy troops there.
