I worked there when they shut down all stores for half a day for the workers to talk about racism. The one black girl revealed that she was offended by us complimenting her hairstyles. Guess who was my partner for the exercise 💀.
I was like, yikes. She was a nice girl but no more kind words for her good looks, I suppose.
Great quality coffee doesn't need all of the added junk, because it tastes great by itself. A nice 100% Kona coffee doesn't need mocha choca crap added. It's wonderful for what it is. Same with a Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. It doesn't need your added junk.
A great quality steak doesn't need to be smothered in onions and gravy.
So... why does Starbucks need to add all the junk to make their coffee drinkable? Because it's not good quality coffee. Try drinking straight Starbucks coffee without all the additives, and it's no better coffee than you'll find at the local gas station.
I skip all the extra junk and just spend my money on the real McCoy, enjoying wonderful coffee flavors that don't need a barista and an encyclopedia to figure it out.
Before Covid, I never got food poisoning (or maybe once in my whole life). I eat out too much given my hectic life, and have lived all over the country. I don't get food delivered, though.
During 2020, no food poisoning, but hygiene standards briefly went up.
Since 2020, I got food poisoning once or twice per year... until I moved to Europe in 2024, and have not gotten food poisoning since...
While there are problems with the ingredients in out food, it's not that kind of problem. I feel hygiene standards have sunk to all time lows. I'd guess it's in part due to questionable immigrants, and questionable environmental regulations making useful cleaners too restricted.
It feels like every piece of glass in public in the US is an oily, disgusting, fingerprinty meds now... and elsewhere, even in Canada, this doesn't seem to be the case...
It's not just hygiene standards, it's overall maintenance of any type.
Anyone but me notice that stuff with perforations - paper towels, toilet paper, tear off forms, etc just don't tear off as easily or cleanly as they used to? My theory is that regular maintenance is being ignored or deferred and the machines that perforate get dull.
Plus any sort of quality control these days seems to be a thing of the past so nobody's checking products anymore.
Typical leftist hypocrite. Talks about wanting to help the wages of NY workers, and bashes business for violating labor laws<:-:>Expands sanctuary city to flood it with more illegal alien workers to help NY businesses violate labor law (by hiring illegal aliens) and cause lower wages for all NY workers. So progressive!
The First Law of Letfism: Hypocrisy is the guiding virtue of the left.
Working at A Starbucks is not a career, it's a job and you don't deserve a high wage for it. These leftist retards don't even understand basic economic on how shit works. Give the tards $25hr pay and your product will go up in price to compensate for that wage. In turn nobody will go there to buy their flavored water products and go elsewhere! As a result, you lose your job. This is what voted this communist faggot into office and they're about to reap the rewards!
Ive been wrestling with this for awhile what it boils down to is that there sinply isnt enough jobs for everyone at tbe i tersection of skill and ability.
At the very least there neexs to be a taise in minimum wage because some people sinoly have to flip burgers as their main source of income. Let then live.
They can go and learn to do something useful - just like the rest of us did. Jobs like that were never meant to be careers that support families. These are low end service sector jobs that require little to no real skills. A wage should reflect economically how much that labor is worth. $25 to serve coffee or flip burgers is ridiculous.
I just picked $25/hr because that seems to be the figure mostly chosen for minimum wage goals in several cities. It was only meant for generalization purposes.
There are ways to go to school and improve one's skill sets. If there is the will, a way can be found. Many of us found a way. I went to school using grants and small scholarships until I had to take out loans. Yes, I struggled, but I was determined and I don't regret it.
Paying someone a higher than normal wage for a job requiring low skills makes no economic sense and in the end, there will be less of those jobs available because companies will turn to other means to bring their bottom lines into balance. Personnel is still the largest expense for most businesses. Those types of employment were never meant to provide wages that would support families. The government trying to force employers to shoot themselves in the foot in order to comply with social justice targets only disrupts the job market. If we did not have all of these low skilled uneducated people invading our country, this would not even be an issue.
I bet the woke CEO's of starfucks are excited about lost revenue. 🤡
The narrative has changed to "billionaires" since all the ruling socialist masters are millionaires.
Both these idiots, commie mandomie and the seattle socialist skank, are STILL supported by their parents? 😜Yeah, that is who I want in charge of city finances.
Employment at places like Starbucks and fast food were never meant to provide living wages. Those are entry level jobs meant for college and high school students along with others needing a first job. Learn to do something else if you want a "living" wage just like the rest of us did.
Good chance. I'm hoping that will be a wake up call but too many people love convenience. Convenience will the downfall of humanity, I've said this for years and people look at me like I have a hand growing out of my forehead.
AI: No degree: A significant portion of baristas have a high school diploma or equivalent without a college degree. Many positions don't require any formal education, and skills are learned through on-the-job training. Hmmm seems to be a work force replace by AI and robots
If you shut down Starbucks you shut down the Left. They literally cannot survive without their frothy mocca choca frappino pumpkin spice lattes.
and like three pumps of like caramel please desu >_<

Are they using SNAP at Starbucks? What % of sales might come from SNAP? Asking for a green-haired mermaid friend.

Their coffee sucks.
Open up any of their espresso machines older than 1 year and you find a wall of mold.
Oh man, is this true? I don't personally go there, but jeez.
I think we should have far more inspectors and hygiene regulations in place.
Looking at you McDonald's ice cream machine.

Just my anecdotal observation and pet theory...
what they fail to understand is he wants them to strike he wants them not working
And to put the stores they are working at, out of business….

they raised the minimum wage for fast food workers in CA, and lots of them lost their jobs to automation.
Yup, economic 101. These people are fucking retarded. Get rid of them and replace them with a touch screen.
The idea that someone that works at a fast food place should expect a living wage is preposterous.
It should be a job for people going to college or trade school, also for retired old ladies (they work the hardest) who want something to do.

No cash, no sale. Boycott into oblivion and sanction for monopolistic practices in coffee bean pricing and commodity manipulation.

Freedom or free stuff—that is the choice.
I just hope they shut down every location.

6,666x the average salary? 🤔
Oddly specific. I'm wondering if he's there to wake up the norms. I guess we'll see how it plays out.
Don’t take the mark!

strange number to come up with. Probably made it up.

Wont be a loss to either side.
