I went into a bank and the CSRs were all dressed very casually. It was hard to tell them apart from the customers.

Stranger Things 5 semi-spoiler:
The plot line has devolved into a metaphor of the homosexual “gift” of HIV/ AIDS. The whole revision/ retcon in Season 4 was bad enough, but the season 5’s special treatment of homosexual character Will is getting atrocious. It also ignores the fact that in season 1 Will was simply subjected to the same treatment that happened to Barb shortly before and he would’ve died like she did if not for his mom Joyce and Hopper saving Will at the last second and resuscitating him. There was no Vecna at the time with grand plans for magically gay Will. Will would’ve just died if not for his mom’s intervention. Season 3 was over-the-top but still fun. Seasons 4 & 5 reinvented the wheel and they suck and don’t make sense.
So glad I don't know what any of that means!
I gave up after season 2 when, like most Scifi that has exhausted the creaters original basic idea for the story, starts filling the plot with things that make no sense.

Was it that bad before Obama?
Had both kids in a hospital with good insurance, still expensive, albeit after Obama. At the time, out of pocket home birth was about the same as hospital with insurance, but finding a provider, securing hospital rights should the need arise, and a nervous hubby led to the hospital path.
Just remember and remind your friend, there is much you can decline that they will pretend is required. She is her biggest (likely only) advocate.
Sounds outrageous. Medical care is vastly overpriced thanks to socialist policies from LBJ to Obummer.
Cosby Show had in one episode in ‘80s back-and-forth talk between the Doctor (Bill C.) and another guy (I think it was a date for one of the TV daughters). The guy advocated midwives and the TV show Doctor “said doctors can do more if there is an emergency.”
So it’s kind of in public consciousness that birth = a medical emergency. If I get to marry the woman I hope, she will get her choice what care she wants, and thanks to Pres. Trump, MAGA and the Great Awakening, I think costs for medical care will be way down relative to today’s prices.
