I'm Finnish and have noticed that OP seems to be pretty hostile towards his own country, if he is Finnish, and sometimes does post news from here that are at best misleading.

The name he uses seems to be an old ethnic slur used by Russians towards Balto-Finnic people, Finns, Estonians, Karelians and such.

On the other hand, considering where this country has been going for for decades now I suppose it could just be that he is a Finn who has become bitterly disappointed with the whole place.

Personally I don't think it's quite THAT bad, not if you could take account of everybody living here. Because it does seem to me that besides constant propaganda from our news media which admittedly does affect far too many people, we probably also are victims of manipulated voting systems and such, and if we could get access to the real opinions of all Finnish citizens it might not be quite that dark here yet. But most of our current politicians and leadership in general seem to be at best badly compromised, and when it comes how to change them as we probably can't trust our voting system at all now... that part doesn't look good.

And the poll doesn't seem to include Finland. The countries are: Portugal, Poland, Croatia, German, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, and the Netherlands.

Altogether, 48 % saw Trump as an enemy of Europe, 10 % as a friend of Europe, and 40 % as neither, not a friend but not an enemy. 2 % didn't know what to think.

Also, the poll seems to have also given three alternatives when it comes to dealing with the Trump government: work with them, work against them, search for some sort of compromise. When all the answers are counted from the countries included in the poll, looks like highest number is for compromise, 48 %, 33 % working against, and 19 % working with.

About 1000 people from each country answered. Depending on where the poll was published and what type of people might have even seen it might of course have influenced the answers a lot. France, in that poll, seems to be most hostile towards Trump and least willing to work with him, so the fact that the poll was made by a French newspaper might have skewed the answers all by itself a lot.

Although one thing is quite true, all of our MSM is still pretty hostile towards Trump although it is not as bad as it was during his first term, while they just loved the Biden administration. They do take a pretty large percentage of their American news from two sources, as far as I have been able to find out, New York Times and CNN, and sometimes give a bit more spin when they publish them. And when asking from local sources about anything concerning Trump or Trump administration they prefer people who see both as bad.

And they pretty much every time use that old tool for propaganda: while there may actually be more or less correct facts in the news article itself, they may leave out some bits which make what is printed in itself skewed, and the biggie, the headline is going to be something that gives a VERY skewed spin to the whole thing even if it isn't actually false, or at least not completely false, merely, to quote from Star Wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi, "seen from a certain point of view".

And the discussion boards - back when it was possible to leave comments on the news in Iltalehti and Ilta-Sanomat online versions, two of the most widely circulating "yellow" newspapers here (they both are pretty big here, and also published on paper, not just online) I used to do that, but noticed that more often than not mine wasn't published at all or was taken down fast even when it first appeared. But the "Trump is literally Hitler/an idiot/incompetent/how stupid can Americans be to have voted for that moron -ones stayed.

And then they changed the system to where you have to sign up to the system before you can leave comments. At which point I decided not to do that, I don't want to give them my information, although I suppose it's quite possible they had at least some access to it even when it was possible to comment anonymously anyway.
